Friday Chart Predictions (Wed Update + Top 5 Sales)
Looking at the last couple of weeks, 25k has roughly equated to a #15/#16. It would probably need at least 32-33k to debut in the Top 10.

Music Purchases This Week: Week Beginning 1/7/16
I got mine from Amazon, but I think they should have it as they're stocking the limited 7" vinyl in some branches (according to Twitter) so I can't see why they wouldn't stock the CD if they're stocking the 7". However, I'll warn you that it's only a one-track single and I paid £4.99 for it so it is quite overpriced, to say the least...

Metronomy - Summer 08
Metronomy have a new album out tomorrow so I thought I'd do a thread for it before I forget. The tracks that have been released up until today sound pretty good (better than most of 'Love Letters', in my opinion). Robyn guests on a track too, which (for me, at least) is an excuse to get excited for this. 1. Back Together 2. Miami Logic 3. Old Skool 4. 16 Beat 5. Hang Me out to Dry (featuring Robyn) 6. Mick Slow 7. My House 8. Night Owl 9. Love’s Not an Obstacle 10. Summer Jam 7CiVF7LjKU8 b1YZOWvBzAA

Friday Chart Predictions
If anything, it's the album that's more of a flop (currently her lowest seller I'd say?) but I'm not gonna go into all of that as I recall there was a pretty big debate about that in a prediction thread a couple of weeks ago and I'd rather another one of those doesn't happen...

Friday Chart Predictions
I think you mean 2009 rather than 2014, but that EP was their last Top 40 anyway. In fact, they hadn't even missed the Top 25 until then, whilst the closest they've got to the Top 40 since that EP was 'Leaving', which came slightly short at #44 in 2012.

Friday Chart Predictions
I also thought it would reach the Top 200, but it looks like this'll be their first single not to (except for 'Vocal', which was ineligible I believe? Correct me if I'm wrong though...)

2016 BPI Certifications
Absolutely - I'd say the highest achievement for a low-peaking single is probably 'Mardy Bum' by Arctic Monkeys which went Silver in January. Definitely one of their best known album tracks, in a 'Champagne Supernova' kind of way (which itself went Silver a couple of years ago) but the fact it went no higher than #123 and had only two weeks in the Top 200 is interesting. Not to mention that they have two Top 20s that probably aren't exactly close to the 200,000 mark as well...

Will there or won't there? PREDICTION GAME
Will Kungs & Cookin' On 3 Burners - This Girl be #1? YES (I think it'll just about edge it...) Will Sigala - Give Me Your Love (feat. John Newman & Nile Rodgers) be top 10? NO Will Sigala - Give Me Your Love (feat. John Newman & Nile Rodgers) be higher than Sex by Cheat Codes? NO Will Dua Lipa - Hotter Than Hell be top 15? YES Will Fifth Harmony - Work from Home (feat. Ty Dolla $ign) be top 15? YES Will David Guetta - This One's for You (feat. Zara Larsson) be top 20? YES Will Bastille - Good Grief get a chart play? YES (With ease, I'd say) Will Calum Scott - Dancing on My Own be top 30? YES Will twenty one pilots - Heathens be top 40? YES Will Tinie Tempah - Mamacita (feat. Wizkid) be top 40? NO Will Kent Jones - Don't Mind be top 40? YES Will The Stone Roses - Beautiful Thing be top 50? NO (Given 'All for One' fell straight out of the Top 100, this will easily follow suit) Will Chase & Status - Spoken Word (feat. George the Poet) be top 40? NO (Considering 'Control' and 'NRG' didn't really do anything, I doubt this will) Will Christine and the Queens - Tilted be top 75? YES (Her album will probably fare best and go Top 40 on its respective chart, but I wouldn't rule this out from going Top 75) Will Selena Gomez - Kill Em With Kindness be top 75? NO Will there be more than 3 new entries in the top 40? YES Will Lee Walker & DJ Deeon - Freak Like Me (feat. Katy B) reach top 40 on iTunes by Friday at any point? NO Will there be a new song released any time from now until Thursday night that reaches top 40? NO Will Tiesto crack the top 15 on iTunes by Thursday night? NO Will Three Lions (Football's Coming Home) return to the top 25 on iTunes at any point before Thursday? YES (Assuming England do well of course, but I'm the only person I know who hasn't cared for the football at all)

2016 BPI Certifications
Considering it's probably their best known song and has over 100 million views/plays on YouTube and Spotify, it's not entirely surprising. Still, I doubt any of their other songs are too near to the Silver threshold.

Phenomenon of washed-up Artist getting boost in Album Chart
While his recent album hasn't exactly had that many good reviews, the United Nations of Sound album was massively panned by most critics at the time which could've been why it didn't reach the same levels of sales as his previous 3 albums.
-
Phenomenon of washed-up Artist getting boost in Album Chart
They had an album in 2012, 'Choice of Weapon', which reached #20. Not sure how you overlooked that one, but the 2007 album you refer to received some very poor reviews which may have been a contributing factor to why that album failed commercially.
