Top 100 Singles/Albums (Combined + Sales + Streaming)
Glad to see both James and Underworld both with their highest charting albums since 1999. Same goes to Iggy Pop with his highest placing in his entire career by quite a large margin. Somewhat disappointed to see Primal Scream miss the top 10 for the second time in a row though... Really hoping AlunaGeorge can go Top 40 next week too. I belatedly picked up their first album recently as it was reduced to £1 in Edinburgh's branch of Fopp. I couldn't argue with that price!

Music Purchases This Week: Week Beginning 25/3/16
Albums Oh Wonder - Oh Wonder Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over the Sea Morrissey - Swords: B-Sides Compilation Birdy - Beautiful Lies (Deluxe - Amazon Exclusive Signed Edition) White Denim - Stiff Neon Neon - Praxis Makes Perfect (Amazon Signed Edition) Technically, I don't have my Birdy and White Denim albums yet due to the bank holiday. I'll probably stream Zayn's album too, and then consider buying it if I like it. Edit: The Neon Neon signed album was a very surprising find, as it was released 3 years ago and anyone would expect all the signed copies to be snapped up straight away! Such was the case with my Birdy pre-order. Also picked up some excellent finds for £6 each in a charity shop in Lincoln today - Blondie's Plastic Letters and Bob Dylan's Self Portrait.

Friday Chart Predictions (Thurs Update + Top 5 Sales)
Thanks! Meilyr is a he, actually (not that it matters). He's the former frontman of the now-disbanded Welsh band Race Horses, who released two albums towards the beginning of the decade which didn't trouble the Top 200 at all which makes the charting of this one all the more surprising :o

Friday Chart Predictions (Thurs Update + Top 5 Sales)
Just wondering, has Meilyr Jones' 2013 been in any of the updates over the last couple of days? Last I heard of it was #43 on Saturday (thanks to Mint Royale) and it wasn't in the top 100 on Monday, so I'm slightly doubtful of it making the Top 200 but curious nonetheless in regards to how it's doing.

Baauer - Aa
Saw a 4 star review in this week's NME of this, so I gave it a listen. It really isn't as bad as I was expecting...

When will you be posting the results?

Lawson - Money
The HMV signings are supposedly going to be rescheduled when the album comes out, according to what one of the members said in a reply to a fan on Twitter. Somehow, I just can't see that happening...

2016 BPI Certifications
Would I be right in thinking that this is just the sales of the 1999 remaster, rather than every sale since 1994? It just occurred to me that 'Let's Dance' got a Silver certification in 2013 for its own 1999 remaster, despite the fact the album already had a Platinum certification from little over 30 years beforehand...

Friday Chart Predictions (Thurs Update + Top 5 Sales)
I'm genuinely baffled by this? Especially considering how many fans had tweeted them with screenshots of their pre-order confirmations a couple of weeks ago. Unless the bundles are ineligible for the chart for whatever reason? I also initially thought they would top the physical chart with ease regardless of what happens, but then I remembered that Pet Shop Boys single is out, which is certain to get it.

Harsh? I don't mind changing it though, if you wanted to avoid any possible confusion...

Lawson - Money
So I've just looked, and 'Money' is nowhere to be seen on today's Top 100 midweeks... Oops.

M83 'Junk' · 09 April 2016
'Do It, Try It' sounds really good on first listen. I'm really looking forward to the Beck and Susanne collaborations, and the album as a whole, as it got a 5 star review in this month's Q Magazine. As for the artwork, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Andy Bell and White Denim have the worst album artwork of the year so far, in my opinion at least.

Friday Chart Predictions (Thurs Update + Top 5 Sales)
Quite surprised that Underworld are ahead of Primal Scream. Still, I guess they're certain to get their highest charting album since 1999, as they haven't had a Top 15 album since then.

Friday Chart Predictions (Thurs Update + Top 5 Sales)
MintRoyale also responded to someone who asked where Meilyr Jones' album is (#43). It'll most likely be out of the top 100 by Friday though.
