  1. I love These Words and am usually here for anything Natasha but that remix is godforsaken!
  2. Remember we can’t call Hozier’s song a real hit until it reaches 1 million daily streams! /s
  3. I don’t know why everyone’s being so pedantic when the person’s clearly just trying to say the album’s underwhelming and quite a creative comedown from Folklore and Evermore
  4. It’s called an opinion lol
  5. That “hate” was as contrived as anything she does and was purely for the aesthetic of the era
  6. Well I think it shows she’s not untouchable and that people are getting a bit sick of her act personally
  7. Her announcing her album during her speech seemed a little contrived, and her totally ignoring Celine Dion didn’t do herself any favours! Not sure how you missed it, it was everywhere https://amp.smh.com.au/culture/celebrity/th...208-p5f3dn.html https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertai...t-b2492285.html https://www.euronews.com/culture/2024/02/11...st-taylor-swift https://deadline.com/2024/02/grammy-awards-...1235814580/amp/
  8. I feel like she may have reached or be nearing saturation point by now though, if the backlash to the Grammys is anything to go by. Obviously she’ll still have huge numbers but it wouldn’t surprise me if they don’t quite reach Midnights levels.
  9. I’m not a fan of that or Bodyguard really but love II Most Wanted
  10. She must not be a “superstar” anymore either!
  11. No Sleeep posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
    Eh, that’s debatable
  12. No Sleeep posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
So really without Xmas songs only 2 or 3 songs per year really make it that high. No songs managed it in 2019 and only 1 did in 2020 which is interesting
  13. Well that’s just a straight up lie. 7. yes, and? (403,345) 8. we can't be friends (wait for your love) (382,701) 10. bye (355,685) 11. the boy is mine (317,101) 12. eternal sunshine (315,246) 14. don't wanna break up again (309,781) 15. supernatural (302,760) 17. intro (end of the world) (292,172) 19. true story (284,868) 28. i wish i hated you (234,530) 29. Saturn Returns Interlude (226,007) 33. imperfect for you (215,329) 38. ordinary things (feat. Nonna) (191,865)
  14. I still don’t understand what’s so crazy about a discussion
  15. To be fair Giorgio Moroder was 75 collaborating with Britney and Kylie and those songs were great!
  16. On a positive note Willie Nelson at 90 must be one of the oldest (if not the oldest) artists to get so high on the Spotify chart with “new” material, right?
  17. I know I said I was done replying but this is too tempting. Was Subtract an actual album to you? Do you realise Beyoncé’s lowest debuting track from Cowboy Carter has more streams (192,336) than the biggest track from Subtract (192,148)?
  18. Ed, whose last album only spawned 4 (!) UK Spotify top 200 entries on its release day. I’m pretty certain Beyoncé can “touch” him I’m done replying, you’re not making any sense whatsoever.
  19. Beyoncé just got the highest Spotify debut for an album of the year so far and the 6th highest debut for a woman ever, and that’s still not enough to be considered a “superstar” to you. I wholeheartedly disagree
  20. Did you sign up to this forum specifically to downplay Beyoncé’s success? You have 4 posts and they all do that in some way. I really don’t understand it. You said you were expecting more from Cowboy Carter (even though it almost doubled the debut of her last album), and now you’re saying you never thought she was a “superstar”? Which is it?
  21. Dave and Olivia Rodrigo bigger than Beyoncé. Suuuuure. Lol
  22. So in your opinion only Adele, Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds, Ed Sheeran, Dave and Central Cee are in the “big boy league”? Give it a rest
  23. Renaissance debuted with 3.8 million UK streams, Cowboy Carter debuted with 6.1 million. That’s much better than a “modest” improvement
  24. I posted the Renaissance first day numbers for comparison, Cowboy Carter is a big improvement. No need to keep moving the goalposts, in theory if having more tracks is responsible for the bigger numbers that should mean the streams are more spread out but that’s not the case, the top performing tracks on Cowboy Carter are doing much better than their equivalents on Renaissance. Break My Soul - 487k I’m That Girl - 322k Alien Superstar - 296k Compared to Cowboy Carter’s top three tracks: Texas Hold ‘Em - 658k Jolene - 467k II Most Wanted - 392k
  25. I’m not comparing like for like, Beyoncé is almost 30 years into her career so it’s not a fair comparison! You’re proving my point exactly, I’m not trying to turn this into a fan war but it seems it’s fair game to question Beyoncé’s success on here while Dua and Ariana can’t be touched for some reason. It’s very odd And btw 6 of those 27 tracks are interludes x
