I wouldn’t expect it to be higher at this stage without stronger downloads, I’m impressed it’s that high off of mostly streams alone. Madonna fans need to take notes from Kylie fans about the power of iTunes!
  2. Can we all pull our fingers out and download this on iTunes and Amazon, if Kylie was #20 in the first look her fans would never let her fall out of the top 40. Don’t let me down gays
  3. Just the Spotify fans first and the Icon download (for Hot Sauce of all things ). I want the premium vinyl so bad, but now I’m finally willing to pay the exorbitant price she doesn’t want to sell it to me!

How is it any different from people playing the same album on repeat on Spotify? Artists who have big fanbases benefit from it but I don’t see why that’s a problem. If they have enough fans willing to spend their hard-earned cash on 83 versions of the same album why should that be punished?
  5. Madonna broke Spotify! (in my dreams)
  6. Why would or should Spotify want it to decline in plays though?
  7. Just noticed it shows positions outside the top 100 for albums that are re-entering, West End Girl is #95 and it says it was #163 last week, sorry if this has already been discussed but I’ve never seen it before! https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/albums-chart/
  8. T***** S**** getting married on release day, I have an awful feeling
  9. Well it was obviously, but it only spent 1 week at #1 and the singles didn’t take off. I have older family members who only really know Dreams from that album. It’s not like The Beatles or ABBA were they were selling albums and singles and everyone knew every song. Norah Jones sold a lot of albums but I don’t think many people could name the songs that were on them! They always struck me as being bigger in America at that time with Rumours, then it flipped again and Tango in the Night was more appreciated here than in America.
  10. I think it’s also because they were big, but not too big when they were originally popular, whereas The Beatles were everywhere for decades. A lot of the Fleetwood Mac songs that are charting didn’t chart well or at all originally
  11. Who?
  12. I agree with this. If she had the video ready to go as well as a CD single and a vinyl I really think that would’ve pushed her to a top 10 debut. It would’ve probably sank like a stone regardless but clearly a high peak was important with this release, they just went about it the wrong way. Also waiting so long after debuting it at Coachella to release it was a mistake imo, performing singles pre-release doesn’t really work unless the release follows it very quickly. This cycle seems to be repeating with Danceteria.
  13. I’ve heard one Sam Fender song and that was quite enough
  14. I somehow still haven’t heard this ‘Rein Me In’ 😭
  15. She must've just missed out on the top 100, was hoping she could make it
  16. I'm pretty sure they can? That is exactly what I'm doing lol, but again emphasising it is subjective. To me and, I imagine, most people under 45 and people who like pop music, Avril is the bigger artist.
  17. I could name a ton of Avril songs and quite a few Killers songs. I could name one Nirvana and one Led Zeppelin song lol. This is a very subjective question so I wouldn't make sweeping statements like Avril "was seen as a joke" because to a lot of people she's an icon

My favourite movie I've watched this year was probably Eve's Bayou. The worst is a tie between Phantoms and Megafault lol.
  19. I could've sworn Girlfriend went #1 for Avril. I voted Janet obvs!
  20. What does it matter to Spotify whether the music people stream is old or new?
  21. Perrie is doing too much I’m sorry. The point has been hammered home now, it feels like every month she’s saying something else about Jesy. I’m fairly neutral on this topic so please don’t come at me thinking I’m some Jesy stan x
  22. Same, dance music isn’t really my thing 😭 Happy she’s having some success with it though

Madonna #67 Praying she can hang on, it would be incredible to have 3 charting tracks from this album
  24. I actually really like the setlist! Very happy past life, twilight zone, dandelion and supernatural all made it, just wish I wish I hated you would’ve made it too. It’s understandable she wants to forget about sweetener tbh
