Yep, which is crazy when you think about. She may have had the best possible feature, but Madonna is the lead artist and hasn't had a hit since the 2000s, they really needed better radio deals, a video and physical singles for maximum impact. I can't complain too much because I do think the promo has been good for the album overall but the single's just kind of been left to flounder. Sabrina could've done more to promote it too I feel.

Such a missed opportunity that they haven’t released the video yet, might as well wait for album release week at this point. I wouldn’t mind another promo single, I think she needs to keep the momentum up

Yep :( There’s an Odeon but it’s a bit out of the way to get to, so I’m left with Showcase and Vue, I usually just try to take advantage of discounts. Omniplex do an unlimited deal so I’m just waiting for that to open. I miss the Cineworld so much!

I’ve been going a lot less since my local Cineworld shut down last year, and the Omniplex that have bought it are taking a lifetime to reopen it. Not complaining really because it’s got the best promotion for a Madonna lead since GMAYL but it really could’ve benefited from releasing the video the same day and having physicals ready to go, I reckon they could’ve got top 10… oh well

The issue also is that a lot of new music just isn’t that good. The idea that the charts should be filled with new music made sense in the physical era, but in the streaming era people aren’t going to exclusively listen to 2026 releases. It sounds like people want a Billboard Hot 100-style chart that’s more explicitly about marketing new artists than reflecting true popularity. A chart position is just a number, you can remove all the old songs from the charts and disadvantage them as much as you can but it won’t make new music any more popular in reality.

Well it’s the first song on the album, it put me off listening to the rest. I didn’t say anything about the album, just that one song, I’m happy to see her succeed regardless. Don’t jump to conclusions
