I’ve decided to come off Twitter for a while due to this. It’s really disturbing - I’ve seen some videos from that festival and it’s hell on earth, the total lack of empathy from some people (some fairly prominent people at that) is frightening. Where are we headed when a terrorist attack like this on innocent civilians is almost celebrated?
  2. To be fair even Taylor Swift isn’t coming anywhere close to Fever’s sales. Silver is the new platinum, Kylie is doing great. I get that it’s disappointing to not see the success of Padam reflected in album sales but those were always Kylie’s strong point (well, for the last decade anyway). When you put it into context she’s doing great
  3. Yeah this is doing much worse than evermore, evermore at least had a hit in Willow. Ed’s doing these numbers with physicals and he’ll still barely outsell evermore
  4. At this rate of decline he can expect about 15k for his next album!
  5. Does Kylie have a hope of beating Ed? He can’t be doing much more than 10k this week surely?
  6. Well you’re certainly doing a lot to defend Ed against the flop allegations
  7. That’s not really helping your case either :kink:
  8. I think if he surprise released an album in 2021 he would’ve charted a lot more than 4 songs in the top 200! Of course that’s all speculation. If Ed has to trend chase and make the most radio-friendly pop to generate any interest in his projects nowadays what does that say about him and his position in the music industry?
  9. folklore was announced with a few hours notice :kink: I agree that his hardcore fanbase is actually pretty small, but I don’t think it’s much of a justification for the lack of interest in his new music. You could say the same about someone like Katy Perry - of course with the right feature or song she could have a huge hit again but until then you can only judge their popularity based on how well their last album did.
  10. Really? I mean, the standard edition yes, but with the super deluxe (or whatever it’s called) edition we have 16 Tension tracks, that’s actually pretty long! It’s the same number of tracks as the deluxe editions of Golden and Disco
  11. Ed really fumbled the bag! He should’ve went the Adele route and disappeared for a while after =, and especially after the underperformance of –, but he’s just went straight back to it. It’s like he’s trying to recreate Taylor’s Lover to folklore career turnaround, but he’s just fell flat on his face.
  12. £21 international shipping, have to pass. That’s £55 for one t-shirt
  13. It must be one of the best selling (in actual sales) songs this year right?
  14. I feel the same about Tension like when the majority of the chorus is a robotic Kylie voice it’s kind of hard to recreate live
  15. I couldn’t find it either but I was only signed up to the Kylie store! I only knew about it because I saw people talk about it on Popjustice and Twitter. It was a newsletter email from Townsend apparently.
  16. £1 off the deluxe edition with the new bonus tracks
  17. Heartbroken I didn’t win tickets  I guess they only wanted people who lived close to London, although I would’ve happily travelled Does anybody have a spare code for the Tension deluxe download? I wasn’t signed up to the TM stores newsletter
  18. That’s lower than I expected considering the state of the albums chart even compared to when the Rebel Heart Tour came out. Madonna’s always had a huge collector fanbase but even that seems to be waning :(
  19. Hate that the merch doesn’t ship to the UK, I really want some of those t-shirts
  20. Ordered! It pushed me to order the When the Rain Comes CD and vinyl too  I paid them to ship separately so that my CD will hopefully count for this week, I really want them to make the albums chart even if it is at #100
  21. I really hope they can sneak into the top 100, I’ll buy it on iTunes if it’s still looking close
  22. I think if anyone was expecting it to repeat Padam Padam’s trajectory (or really come close to it) they were setting themselves up to be disappointed. Tension had a lot more initial interest than any other Kylie single in over a decade and it just hasn’t connected enough to stay up there. This is the same thing as something in the 00s like Giving You Up spending one week in the top 10 then freefalling, definitely not a flop but not an enduring smash either
  23. I mean Victoria’s so obvious there’s nothing to really argue about :kink:
  24. Ah well, it’s got a great peak. Longevity would have been nice but songs generally don’t build like Padam did. We should just be over the moon that instead of debuting at #50 something we got a #19 - her best performing second single since 2010!
  25. I can't be mad at all, BMG have done everything right to ensure a good peak. Holding back the digital release until Friday, 2 CDs, well all except discounting to 59p but you can't have everything :P You can't force a song to be a hit, they've given Tension more than a good head start and if it collapses after this week then so be it.
