What makes you think she’s specifically targeting Charli when Bon Jovi are also ahead of Charli lol
  2. If they don’t then I’ll assume there’s some trickery at play here. I don’t expect them to grow very much, if they did grow in line with everything else we should be seeing Wham! and Mariah getting over 5m on Christmas Day
  3. There must be some explanation because Spotify’s user base hasn’t more than doubled over the past year has it? There have been huge outlier hits before but never so many in such a short space of time. Since Stick Season I’d say the numbers at the top have just gone insane Have other countries seen similar increases or is this a UK thing?
  4. The fact that last summer it only took 300k to go #1 some days, now this year there’s rarely anything below 700k, it is a bit fishy
  5. I don’t really care for either of them but Sabrina has an almost 200k lead on Spotify at this point and if momentum continues will grow as the week goes on so I would hardly call it “hopeful”

I think in that case they’d be competing to make the top 100 rather than #1 :P

I have no idea what that is  I don’t really follow memes so a lot of meme songs have probably passed me by. I’m familiar with a lot of older Eminem songs so it’s not that I just don’t know him, but if it’s not played on the radio or in a TV show or something there’s just little chance I’d ever hear it. It’s poor chart performance here suggests it was more a meme hit than a chart hit

I’ve never even heard Rap God or Berzerk  Heard OF them but that’s it, I don’t think they made that big a splash outside of his fanbase.

I didn’t realise Like Toy Soldiers was his last solo #1 :o Almost 20 years ago. I don’t really mind who gets #1 but still can’t see him keeping up with Sabrina throughout the week.
  10. It’s quite sickening how much people are enjoying this. They don’t even know WHY they dislike her, they just see everyone else doing it on Twitter and TikTok. These same people would have bullied Britney in 2007
  11. This Eminem track is getting a fraction of the think pieces Megan’s did though  And Megan scraped #1 in the US in a very quiet week, the competition is much stronger now. For him to reach #1 he’d have to maintain the numbers he got yesterday and even grow them, I just can’t see it happening
  12. Yes and the next week it fell to #13, 6 weeks later it was out of the Hot 100 completely
  13. A feeling. Like I said. He’s the kind of artist who debuts massively and then drops off rapidly. Megan’s HISS got a lot of think pieces and it disappeared as soon as it appeared
  14. I have a feeling the Eminem song will start collapsing. Can’t see him going #1

Fifty Fifty (K-pop girl group, I’ve never heard of them) got one last year and OneRepublic did in 2022. Those are the latest I can find unless I’ve missed any

Girl groups are absolutely dead sadly. I miss the R&B groups like En Vogue, Destiny’s Child, SWV. Nowadays there’s what, Flo? And they’re hardly setting the charts alight and they’re decent but not amazing vocalists. It’s like groups are automatically seen as manufactured even when they’re not… and if they are, so what? If they can all sing and sound amazing together who cares if they had to audition for the role  Mini-rant over, I’m just sick of the need for relatability nowadays
  17. Does anybody know why I Have Nothing is so popular this week?

I think her defence lawyer is just extremely incompetent.

Beyoncé didn’t have any physicals in stores for release week and the online vinyls were an older version of the album and missing 5 tracks.

This is quite possibly the worst opinion I’ve ever read on this site, and that’s saying something. “I don’t like it so it shouldn’t count” Also the people who care about music enough to “manipulate” the charts are practically the only ones left with any interest even keeping the chart alive, so manipulate away I say

“Slimy journalism”, the New Yorker article is certainly not. @1790223930415841661

The New Yorker is far from “slimy journalism” It’s ironic that you try to insult my intelligence. You’re acting like no jury has ever gotten anything wrong before. I already cited the Sally Clark example earlier. You seem to be relishing in this so I won’t be replying any further.

  24. “Europapa” is a horrible name for a song

You’re framing this as something very sinister but plenty of people who work in medicine have said that’s a very normal thing for them to do in their private time after a tragedy. They also found no suspicious google searches or anything on her computers, don’t you think if she was really stalking the families digitally to bask in it she would’ve left more of a digital footprint? Also I’m not surprised more people aren’t defending her because the ones that have have had their lives ruined. Nobody wants to be associated with a “baby murderer”, you can’t even have a debate about this anywhere without being shamed for defending an “evil baby killer”. The ones who did who the New Yorker interviewed requested anonymity because of what it would do to their career if they were seen questioning her conviction. The power of groupthink and peer pressure
