Vulgar ● Collaboration with Sam Smith
I think it’s gotta which is even worse (and even worse hearing Sam say it)

Vulgar ● Collaboration with Sam Smith
Is this their apology for blocking Rebel Heart from #1 with that dross album

The Weeknd, Playboi Carti & Madonna - Popular
I can’t stand The Weeknd’s whiny voice

Kesha - Eat The Acid (FKA Gag Order)
No music videos for one. I think “visualiser” is just code for “we don’t have the budget for/can’t be bothered doing a real video” lol

Kesha - Eat The Acid (FKA Gag Order)
8k seems like a lot to chart at #187, it doesn’t even take 30k to go top 10 sometimes. The albums chart is very odd

Padam Padam ● 1st single
I’d expect at least 2000 tbh. Really hard to predict but I’d say between 2 and 4 thousand. If streaming keeps growing or stays stable top 10 might be achievable so I don’t blame them for holding out. Although saying that I did cancel my pre-order as I can’t really justify it atm lol

Padam Padam ● 1st single
Maybe they feel like they can hold off and go all out for top 10 the week of the CD single
-
Padam Padam ● 1st single
Yeah if they think top 20 is achievable I’m sure they’ll have an acoustic or instrumental ready to go, or maybe they’re saving it for the CD single week for maximum impact which I wouldn’t blame them for

Kesha - Eat The Acid (FKA Gag Order)
Happy is my favourite song by far. One of her best

Padam Padam ● 1st single
In general though there’s not much a fanbase can do for streaming if the song doesn’t catch on with the public, however with sales it’s much easier to make an impact. You can stream all day all week and it’ll still only contribute 0.7 sales. Thankfully with Padam Padam it’s appeal has extended beyond the fanbase so it is doing well on streaming

Padam Padam ● 1st single
I’m sure Kylie would rather have the income from sales than the thousandths of a penny from streams!
-
Padam Padam ● 1st single
That’s more than I expected it to do in the entire first week
-
Padam Padam ● 1st single
Sunday figures usually are missing a lot of streaming data though right? So I’m not surprised, it’s doing very well on streaming but obviously sales are going to be stronger

Padam Padam ● 1st single
It’s really great to see  This is just unprecedented in the streaming era, it’s so exciting to witness. I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve been so invested in a song like this, checking updates everyday (and not seeing the numbers get smaller and smaller!). I’m so happy for Kylie and as a fan of the “older” women in pop this is such a win for everyone

100k Opening Week • Will it happen this year?
I agree I feel like Olivia has lost a lot of hype over her hiatus. But then I don’t know, I didn’t really know anything about her before Drivers License and that was massive so maybe I’m just not her audience. I’d be surprised if she came back with anything near as big as Drivers License or Good 4 U

100k Opening Week • Will it happen this year?
True, it being one of her lesser known albums could actually work in its favour. It will be new to a lot of people I think. I thought it was one that would struggle to reach #1 back when she started doing these re-releases but she’s just on such another level now that nothing can be ruled out

100k Opening Week • Will it happen this year?
I’d love if Speak Now could do 100k, it’s my favourite of hers but it’s always felt like the most overlooked in her discography (besides debut but that’s rightfully so imo!). I’d say it’s not likely but definitely not impossible. Apart from Taylor… Adele could, but 30 definitely lowered our (huge) expectations somewhat so even she might struggle. There could always be a big surprise comeback like ABBA’s but I can’t really think of anyone else who could get that same hype. I just can’t see Dua or Olivia doing it personally, I just don’t think they have the mass appeal to sell insane amounts of physical copies. Even Rihanna I can’t see doing 100k in one week anymore

Tension ● 16th album discussion
I’m pretty sure they won’t count as the top 2 tracks streams are excluded from the OCC’s calculations for album sales. I might be wrong though

iTunes, Streaming & YouTube
I was born in 2000 and I can never remember not knowing Kylie lol, I even remember the Light Years/Fever era videos on music channels all the time

Padam Padam ● 1st single
I think Diana Ross has too although her 60s entries are as “Diana Ross and the Supremes” and her only 00s hit is the Westlife collab. Can’t think of anyone else who could’ve done it

I thought for the longest time people thought she was just a meme and they were laughing at how bad Munch and the like were but… apparently not
