I don’t think that’s very accurate, her solo work post-Private Dancer performed much much better in the UK than the US and she spoke about how Europe continued to support her long after the US stopped.

And well done to him but nothing else from the album made the top 10 so I’m not expecting a random single to take the charts by storm suddenly. If anything he’s contributing to his own downfall with this oversaturation, he needs a break

I haven’t listened to any leaks so I’m surprised to hear that, it sounds like a very odd decision to lead with something that doesn’t represent the album very well

Is Madonna in the UK? Take or leave Sam tbh but if this helps Madonna get back on the UK charts I’m all for it, not that Radio 1 will touch this with a barge pole either lol but **** them!

She just tends to choose terrible singles, the album has much better to offer than that song

I would absolutely LOVE if this made radio and playlists more receptive to “grown” pop stars like Kylie, Madge, Janet, Mariah etc. again. I can dream but not so long ago 50-plus stars like Tina Turner, Cher and Diana Ross were embraced by the industry and were charting alongside the likes of Kylie when she was a 20-something, I don’t know why it regressed so much in the 00s and hasn’t really gotten any better

I guess by the OCC’s count Kylie hasn’t crossed a billion streams (for that ridiculous new award) yet? The top 10 amounts to 259.2m streams
