I think it will still get a boost enough to go back to #1. Her store’s shipping is very expensive (like £8 minimum), plus I’d imagine a lot of people don’t bother finding the artist’s store and just buy from Amazon or HMV. There’s a bit of a controversy with the physical edition though, it’s missing 5 tracks and has no booklet and minimal packaging, a lot of fans are calling it false advertising and speculating it’s an older version of the album as it has no reference to the Cowboy Carter title and has “Beyincé” on the spine. I think the version coming in April has the full tracklist so that might help it then too. Tbh she should’ve just saved the extra tracks until then and called it a deluxe, the physical rollout is a bit of a mess!
  2. Well that’s just a straight up lie. 7. yes, and? (403,345) 8. we can't be friends (wait for your love) (382,701) 10. bye (355,685) 11. the boy is mine (317,101) 12. eternal sunshine (315,246) 14. don't wanna break up again (309,781) 15. supernatural (302,760) 17. intro (end of the world) (292,172) 19. true story (284,868) 28. i wish i hated you (234,530) 29. Saturn Returns Interlude (226,007) 33. imperfect for you (215,329) 38. ordinary things (feat. Nonna) (191,865)
  3. I still don’t understand what’s so crazy about a discussion
  4. To be fair Giorgio Moroder was 75 collaborating with Britney and Kylie and those songs were great!
  5. On a positive note Willie Nelson at 90 must be one of the oldest (if not the oldest) artists to get so high on the Spotify chart with “new” material, right?
  6. I know I said I was done replying but this is too tempting. Was Subtract an actual album to you? Do you realise Beyoncé’s lowest debuting track from Cowboy Carter has more streams (192,336) than the biggest track from Subtract (192,148)?
  7. Ed, whose last album only spawned 4 (!) UK Spotify top 200 entries on its release day. I’m pretty certain Beyoncé can “touch” him I’m done replying, you’re not making any sense whatsoever.
  8. Beyoncé just got the highest Spotify debut for an album of the year so far and the 6th highest debut for a woman ever, and that’s still not enough to be considered a “superstar” to you. I wholeheartedly disagree
  9. Did you sign up to this forum specifically to downplay Beyoncé’s success? You have 4 posts and they all do that in some way. I really don’t understand it. You said you were expecting more from Cowboy Carter (even though it almost doubled the debut of her last album), and now you’re saying you never thought she was a “superstar”? Which is it?
  10. Dave and Olivia Rodrigo bigger than Beyoncé. Suuuuure. Lol
  11. So in your opinion only Adele, Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds, Ed Sheeran, Dave and Central Cee are in the “big boy league”? Give it a rest
  12. Renaissance debuted with 3.8 million UK streams, Cowboy Carter debuted with 6.1 million. That’s much better than a “modest” improvement
  13. I posted the Renaissance first day numbers for comparison, Cowboy Carter is a big improvement. No need to keep moving the goalposts, in theory if having more tracks is responsible for the bigger numbers that should mean the streams are more spread out but that’s not the case, the top performing tracks on Cowboy Carter are doing much better than their equivalents on Renaissance. Break My Soul - 487k I’m That Girl - 322k Alien Superstar - 296k Compared to Cowboy Carter’s top three tracks: Texas Hold ‘Em - 658k Jolene - 467k II Most Wanted - 392k
  14. I’m not comparing like for like, Beyoncé is almost 30 years into her career so it’s not a fair comparison! You’re proving my point exactly, I’m not trying to turn this into a fan war but it seems it’s fair game to question Beyoncé’s success on here while Dua and Ariana can’t be touched for some reason. It’s very odd And btw 6 of those 27 tracks are interludes x
  15. Is calling someone a “sore loser” really that bad? People implying Dua Lipa and Ariana Grande weren’t doing amazingly have been called much worse and nothing has been said about that
  16. The least streamed track on Cowboy Carter was still 42k higher than the lowest streamed track on Renaissance But of course Buzzjack doesn’t care about that, the bias is so evident
  17. The numbers are much more competitive than when Renaissance came out
  18. The update isn’t out yet?
  19. The opposite of a collapse!

Had a visceral reaction to that clicking sound in the left side of my headphones all throughout Blackbiird… never listening to it again! Which is a shame because it’s a good song, but who is responsible for that clicking

Out an hour early on iTunes in the UK

I’m disappointed Kacey probably won’t be getting a second week and that Justin has overtaken her, even star-crossed managed a second week (barely, at #97). But I guess the albums chart is just even worse now

Well colour me surprised :w00t: I’m shocked by those numbers for Kacey following the lukewarm response to star-crossed, she deserves it though. Also shocked (in a bad way) by Justin’s numbers, I really underestimated how far he’s fallen from grace

I’d be happy with Kacey or Justin getting #1 but would prefer Kacey (unlikely I know  ) I just hope it’s something new and not Ariana again

And I’ve had enough of the “collapse” narrative, but as you’ve told me to do, get over it! I like her but I’m not even a Beyoncé stan, I’ve just noticed the hypocrisy of users like you
