Well colour me surprised :w00t: I’m shocked by those numbers for Kacey following the lukewarm response to star-crossed, she deserves it though. Also shocked (in a bad way) by Justin’s numbers, I really underestimated how far he’s fallen from grace

I’d be happy with Kacey or Justin getting #1 but would prefer Kacey (unlikely I know :lol: ) I just hope it’s something new and not Ariana again

Well Beyoncé was 25 years into her career, not to mention she had only 1 very expensive vinyl. I think Ariana has 4 and at half the price I’m not insisting on comparing Ariana with Beyoncé, it’s other people that seem to be desperate to point out Beyoncé’s “collapse” but they’re the same people that staunchly defend Ariana and Dua against the same allegations, when their leads actually did much worse than Beyoncé’s. Whereas Beyoncé is still at #1 on the official charts, has been for 3 weeks, still over 500k daily but her decline is being highlighted? I don’t know the exact numbers but I’m pretty sure Houdini and Yes, And quickly dropped by a lot more than 100k but any suggestion they weren’t doing so well was immediately stamped out on this forum (despite the general consensus on social media saying otherwise). It just seems like some artists are given a bit more grace by this forum than others

The oldest artist I can find (who’s still alive) is Ray Anthony, who had a #7 hit in 1953 and is now 102. The oldest overall that comes to mind is Vera Lynn (103). Can anybody else find any artists who lived longer?

I can’t see Ariana getting close to #1 with anything from the new album. I feel like “yes, and?” pretty much killed the hype so she has no momentum going into it, and the top of the charts is very competitive atm anyway
