  1. Ok but Invincible was definitely considered a flop though, Michael’s capable of flopping, Ed’s capable of flopping, I don’t understand this Ed Sheeran Buzzjack defence squad
  2. Yeah I haven’t bothered with any of these as I already broke the bank getting all the Urban Outfitters releases, I don’t need/can’t afford multiple copies
  3. Well I found the first days for Divide and = if it would help to compare http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...98596&st=40 http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...9234&st=760 He charted every song from = in the top 30 on release day which wasn’t that long ago. 5 of which were top 10! And even then that was considered “low key”. The decline is insane, even bigger than the one between Divide and = which didn’t seem possible.
  4. For Ed Sheeran’s standards it definitely is? I don’t know what’s so hard to understand about that, every artist has different expectations based on past performance. This is well, well, wellllll below his standards. Bionic went #1 but you’d be hard pressed to find anyone arguing that wasn’t a flop
  5. 6 top 50 entries, 0 of which are top 10, is really stretching the definition of “album bomb” to me
  6. Regardless of genre it’s a new studio album by Ed Sheeran, the complete lack of interest is shocking
  7. Are we allowed to use the f word for Ed now? Only 6 songs in the Spotify top 50 on release day, even I didn’t think it would be anywhere near that bad
  8. I wonder how they’re calculating it exactly
  9. https://www.musicweek.com/talent/read/bpi-r...-artists/087835 Mariah!!! :cheer:
  10. I’ve gotten ChatGPT to write better songs than that!
  11. I guess it’s like what’s happening with concert ticket prices, they’re seeing how much people pay scalpers and pushing the prices up to keep as much of that for themselves. Like in previous years this would’ve been limited to about 10k copies and priced at £30, whereas this year there’s 115k copies at £50-£60. It’s all a bit of a slippery slope in my opinion and I think vinyl is maybe approaching a saturation point

I’m happy! Only got to visit it once in December 2018 (bought Mariah’s Caution and Madonna’s Ray of Light on vinyl ), glad I’ll get to see it again

I must be very out of touch because I wouldn’t have thought any of them could get a #1 lol
  14. Ordered from HMV as I found a 20% off code and got it for £103.99… still having second thoughts though
  15. I’d love to do that but it sounds so time consuming, how are you putting it together?
  16. I don’t think it’s an unreasonable question to ask, most old songs chart for a reason and there aren’t usually so many by the same artist (many of which weren’t even singles in the first place!) and I haven’t known a US tour to have such an impact on the UK charts pretty much ever
  17. That’s not bad, I wonder if it has any chance of staying in? Should add some sales tonight when it goes on sale online

To be fair 592k to 94k is a much much much bigger drop but that happened
  19. Literally everyone is a fanbase act nowadays
  20. I guess I’m out of the loop why are so many Taylor songs charting?
  21. I had this in my hands today but decided against it when I got to the front of the queue, I just can’t justify spending £60 on it!
  22. Got mine too! It’s the first time I’ve bought something on RSD in person so that was a fun experience. Haven’t played it yet but the design really is beautiful

They pushed her SO hard in 2014 for such a basic pop girl that it’s left a bad taste in my (and seemingly a lot of other people’s!) mouths
  24. I hope Taylor has some kind of plan to shift more than 10k copies, maybe an iTunes discount or something. If #1 is in sight I can’t see her letting it pass her by, she’s the female Ed Sheeran after all
