The music industry has changed though and not even Adele can get away with a 4/5 year break anymore, I wouldn’t be surprised if she tried to adapt with quicker releases (for Adele’s standards anyway)

If The Weeknd can do it I don’t see why Madonna can’t. The pure sales were still much better than anybody expected which is a win. We all know where the “sales” are really coming from, it’s certainly not as egregious as what Mabel and Dua Lipa have done, tacking random features onto their albums

Well for pre-streaming artists, which the vast majority of my favourite artists are, it’s kind of impossible to know who would even come close. I wouldn’t think Britney would be that close to a billion in the UK but when you factor in YouTube, Apple Music, Amazon and whatever else who knows?

Oh I’m sure they do but there’s no way for us to work it out so I have no idea what to expect

Shocked nobody’s mentioned Mariah yet, Big Energy was a big hit last year mostly due to her. Under the right circumstances she can definitely still chart highly and she’s far from irrelevant
