They probably think streams are enough lol. They don’t seem to realise you could stream all day and night all week and still not contribute 1 sale!

Well with iTunes once you've downloaded it you can't delete it and redownload it and have it counted for the charts twice! They could split and download it on Amazon or whatever else instead on the physical release week, but I'd rather save all of my possible downloads for that one week. And realistically most people won't venture outside of iTunes so once that sale is done, it's done.

I would rather help it get a better peak in one big blowout week than two mediocre weeks where it may or may not scrape the top 40 thanks!

I do think they know the week the physicals ship will be the peak week (like me and Jessie have been trying to hammer into everyone ) and they’ll try to maximise the sales that week instead. It must be missing data because they were only doing 700 daily in the last update and on 5.6k, I don’t think there’s a way they can make it to the 9-10k needed for top 40 unless they have a trick up their sleeve

Do we know sales? The bar for top 40 has been 9K at the absolute lowest recently, usually more than that, so unless everything else is down considerably I can’t see it considering it’s only been doing 700-1000 a day since the weekend. Unless it’s had a boost from somewhere, have SH got any more sales details?

I’m thinking maybe they’re confident they’ve sold enough CDs to go top 40 when they’re shipped so that’s why they’re not doing anything this week. But also Madonna doesn’t seem to care about single success very much this era so I don’t know

Yikes 714 daily is not enough to stay top 40, and that's only going to decline unless they release a new remix or something

I’m sticking with not downloading until the CDs are shipped, unless they do something this week it won’t stay top 40 at that rate.

Amazing!! Thank you. Well I’m very doubtful it will stay top 40 now sadly considering it’s not #1 on iTunes anymore and it took about 9.2k last week.

Wish we had Love Sensation’s sales. I take it the Kylie stan in the OCC isn’t a Madonna fan or we’d know what it’s on to the decimal point!

I hope Love Sensation can give this a bump, the difference is so minimal at the lower end of the chart that a few hundred extra sales would really help. Also Madonna getting 4 chart entries and possibly 3 top 40s from this album is incredible, no one could’ve predicted that.

Could’ve probably went top 10 officially if they’d co-ordinated the physicals. Ahh well. Still holding my downloads until they ship as it’ll plummet from here. Great start though
