  1. Why do you have a problem with my “inflammatory comments” about an (alleged) child groomer? Plenty of abusers aren’t convicted for their crimes. What does my questioning Lucy Letby’s conviction have to do with this exactly? So because I think one person may have been wrongfully convicted I’m not allowed to believe in anyone else’s guilt?
  2. Because people seem to keep emphasising that this is completely separate from the issues reported last year, which resulted in his leaving the BBC. It’s clearly not a coincidence and it is evidence of a pattern. Just because he wasn’t convicted of anything last year, it’s still definitely worthy of taking into consideration that he was chatting up teenage boys. I think it’s also quite naive to think he received these images against his will, no matter what his defence team says. Unless he blocked the man immediately and reported the images, then there is no defence.
  3. He clearly has a pattern of targeting young boys. Why was he in that group chat in the first place?
  4. Well there you go. I hope the people that defended this pedophile are ashamed https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crgr49q591go.amp
  5. Where do I sign up?
  6. I’m not mad about it but I do wish we were getting a new album instead.
  7. Unless the Alexa scam kicks in like it did for Dance Alone lol
  8. Red Wine Supernova sounds like such a smash, Good Luck Babe just doesn’t, I will never understand the general public’s taste nowadays

I don’t think that word means what you think it means
  10. Well not really because from Q1 2022 to Q1 2023 it increased by 93 million. Just 7 million less. So it doesn’t explain why streams have went through the roof this year but were very low at the top last year. It’s went from 300k being enough to get a #1 some days to 600k being seen as a low number #1. Those numbers don’t explain that.
  11. It’s about time the streams came a bit more down to earth. It’s still far far higher than what they were last summer.

SZA always seemed like an odd choice. Of all the female artists they could’ve got for that slot - Kylie, Madonna (really wish they coughed up her fee, would’ve been iconic), Stevie Nicks, Pink, Beyoncé (lol) - I don’t know why they went for her. SZA is the type of artist who streams well but culturally her impact is pretty limited. I really don’t like some of their choices this year. Sugababes and Avril should’ve been on the Pyramid stage, of course more people are going to want to see Avril than Janelle Monae who was on the Pyramid the same time Avril was on the Other stage (and I like Janelle, but if you ask the Glasto crowd I doubt the majority know any of her music). I think they need to stop trying to look “cool” and just make the sensible choice, who is going to draw a bigger crowd?
  13. It’s about time, they’re still double what they were this time last year. So odd
  14. Naomi Campbell has a top 40 hit
  15. Her commitment to the bit is impeccable. The reputation “backlash” was so manufactured the first time around! She wanted a flop era without the flopping
  16. Nicole Kidman too, but I don’t know if she’d count since she’s dabbled in music a few times
  17. It’s so refreshing to see something actually rising on the charts
  18. Kate Winslet comes to mind. I love What If
  19. If they don’t then I’ll assume there’s some trickery at play here. I don’t expect them to grow very much, if they did grow in line with everything else we should be seeing Wham! and Mariah getting over 5m on Christmas Day
  20. There must be some explanation because Spotify’s user base hasn’t more than doubled over the past year has it? There have been huge outlier hits before but never so many in such a short space of time. Since Stick Season I’d say the numbers at the top have just gone insane Have other countries seen similar increases or is this a UK thing?
  21. The fact that last summer it only took 300k to go #1 some days, now this year there’s rarely anything below 700k, it is a bit fishy
  22. I don’t really care for either of them but Sabrina has an almost 200k lead on Spotify at this point and if momentum continues will grow as the week goes on so I would hardly call it “hopeful”
  23. I think in that case they’d be competing to make the top 100 rather than #1 :P
  24. It’s quite sickening how much people are enjoying this. They don’t even know WHY they dislike her, they just see everyone else doing it on Twitter and TikTok. These same people would have bullied Britney in 2007
  25. This Eminem track is getting a fraction of the think pieces Megan’s did though  And Megan scraped #1 in the US in a very quiet week, the competition is much stronger now. For him to reach #1 he’d have to maintain the numbers he got yesterday and even grow them, I just can’t see it happening
