I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! • Series 25
They also don't have the fanbase that tend to vote in things like this. It's the sort of thing that has enabled anyone linked to McFly to win. Of course, those of a sporting background can still win, like Harry Redknapp and Carl Fogarty. The latter example was the last year of paid-for voting only though.

BBC Discussion and Bias
Tim Davie just seemed hell bent on appealing to Tories/Reform more than anything. He made a comment about the BBC needing more "conservative television" a few years back. Fresh blood can't do any harm.

The history of the John Lewis Christmas Advert songs
True. Streaming basically cannibalised whatever impact it once had.

Waterloo Road
Enjoyed this series. I'm hoping that Darius gets his comeuppance next series. I did wonder at the time if it was out of character for Joe to cheat, but he and Mike seemed to have issues for a long time. I still don't know what to make of Schuey. It seems to be one step forward, two steps back with him constantly.

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! • Series 25
It's always the lesser known names that end up having the biggest impact on the viewers.

JLS
They asked their audience to choose the set-list this time round, so some interesting choices in there, including some songs I didn't think they'd perform again. Setlist spoilers Umbrella and Billion Lights in particular. Slightly surprised they did Eternal Love - I like the song but generally audiences don't get on board with the new tracks for an act like them.

The history of the John Lewis Christmas Advert songs
The top five highest charting: Gabrielle Aplin: The Power of Love (#1, 2012) Lily Allen: Somewhere Only We Know (#1, 2013) Ellie Goulding: Your Song (#2, 2010) Tom Odell: Real Love (#7, 2014) Aurora: Half the World Away (#11, 2015) The last one to make the main chart at all was A Little Love (Celeste) for the 2020 advert, charting at #59. The last top 40 was the year prior, with "Can't Fight this Feeling" by Bastille making #39. Ellie Goulding is currently the biggest selling with 1.3 million as of April 2023.

Zarah Sultana and Jeremy Corbyn launch new party
BBC NewsStand-off over £800,000 Your Party funds held by Zarah Su...Your Party officials accuse Zarah Sultana of withholding funds despite publicly agreeing to transfer the money."We're going to create a left-wing party for those who want real change" or whatever the original sentiment was. How has it been several months and we've gotten nowhere? I appreciate that getting a party up and running likely isn't an easy job but it's like they'd rather fight amongst themselves.

The Celebrity Traitors UK • Series 1
I'm not surprised Alan managed to deceive them all but to win, I didn't see coming at all.

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! • Series 25
Marvin Kemp looks to be all but confirmed. I think he'll be good on it.

Five
Not sure I fully agree with that. With the clips I've seen, they do seem to have really gone to the effort of putting on a proper show. They're in their 40s now so they're not going to have the same energy that they might have done in their 20s.

Westlife - Chariot
Number 6 on the sales chart - tied with Starlight and higher than anything else released since the comeback apart from Hello My Love & Better Man which both peaked at #2.

OCC: Top 20 Lily Allen songs
Lola Young but I think not many people even knew she released an album before Messy blew up. You're right though, it's very rare. Amy Winehouse as mentioned, Raye maybe? Dua Lipa to a degree, I don't know.
-
Westlife - Chariot
I think the official Top 40 would be a stretch - their last track to manage that at all was Better Man in 2019 (#26) but it'd be great.

Westlife - Chariot
Waiting for Love? I was getting a little bit of Up (Demi Lovato and Olly Murs).
-
Ed Sheeran - Camera
I wouldn't have pinned that song to be the one he'd perform on there. Obviously the album's out now anyway but I thought he'd want one of the songs that have caught on (Azizam or Sapphire).

Can Reform win the next election?
The flag lads are just weird. All this bollocks about national pride but not when there's actually something to be proud of.
-
Westlife - Chariot
Well, there's a visualiser now!

Lewis Capaldi - Almost
Like the falsetto in Something in the Heavens?

Westlife - Chariot
I like this, it's a bit different for them but it should play well live.

Westlife - Chariot
The tour announcement has gotten them lots of attention, so no attention is not true. It won't chart well because Westlife's fanbase generally aren't heavy on streaming, and they're almost certainly not expecting it to chart well either. The money for them is in touring now. As for music videos, they're not something artists do anywhere near as much as they once did.

Westlife - 25: The Ultimate Collection
I would have liked some re-recordings.
-
Westlife - Chariot
No official announcement about this greatest hits but Shane has given an interview where he mentioned this. Four new songs. I wonder if they'll have done some re-recordings - their last greatest hits was in 2011 and we've had two albums of new material since then but I don't know how many of those songs will actually make the cut.
-
Westlife - Chariot
I thought the same at first, and with the tour as well. I guess they didn't want to get fans' hopes up with Mark after he already had to dip in and out of the Wild Dreams tour.
-
Westlife - Chariot
I was going to make a thread but intended to wait until tomorrow. 😅 Their first new release in 4 years, and Mark is on the record despite the fact he's not well enough to be out there touring with them again.
