They've just announced their first ever US shows.

Those who bought a CD/vinyl/cassette single or album in 2023
This is specifically concerning albums and singles released this year. I am intrigued as to how many people are playing the Dua Lipa cassette single for example.

Cian Ducrot became the first Voice UK contestant to achieve a number one album last week.

Take That - General Chart Topic
Original, I imagine. The live version was a DVD release only.

United Kingdom · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
All the more reason to do it. Discounting the live performance, I don't think the entry was that bad, and based on how it performed chart wise it seems a lot of people thought the same.

United Kingdom · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
I've seen so many people say this. I imagine a huge amount of those are people (possibly) joking but I just don't get it. Based on how they went about it this year, and how much they threw at it, I don't see why they wouldn't.

Take That, Robin Schulz & Calum Scott - Greatest Day
Who's singing the "shine a light on our greatest days, light up" bit? It sounds like a mix of Gary, Howard and Calum but I can't make it out.

British TV Talent Shows - Chart Stats
The video of his audition was on the BBC Voice UK page but it has since been taken down. It might have something to do with a video he did on his channel a year or two afterwards where he "exposed" the show. That video doesn't exist anymore either; he spoke about the behind the scenes stuff but all of it was only a revelation to those who somehow don't realise The Voice is a television show. I have updated the original post with what I could find for those additional shows.

Correct - well spotted.

Added some stats for Voice UK. Not much there though.

British TV Talent Shows - Chart Stats
If we look at them: 44,491 - Gabz (#6, 2013) - 6-19-36-37-51-65-90-out (7 weeks) 40,191 - Bars & Melody (#5, 2014) - 5-31-54-out (3 weeks) 29,571 - Susan Boyle (#9, 2009) - 9-13-30-34-57-77-out (6 weeks) A total of 104,500 for Gabz (by the end of 2013) is quoted here. Bars & Melody's single was released in the streaming era, which might have helped their total.

Neither of those have a certification on the BPI website, so we don't know how they've done in total (roughly anyway). They've definitely done less than 200,000 though.

The opening post has now been updated with a (hopefully) neater formatting.

Take That - General Chart Topic
I imagine it has picked up a little but I'm surprised how low Wonderland is there - I'm guessing it just didn't hit with people. I liked Giants but I don't know if it was all that strong, and I loved These Days which wasn't that long before that.

Deleted.

Howard Donald likes homophobic and transphobic tweets
He's behaved foolishly but if he is remorseful and doesn't do it again, I don't know if it should be remembered/held against him forever.

Sam Ryder - Mountain
It entered at #35. #1 for sales & physicals and #2 for downloads (behind Tattoo).

Norway (Melodi Grand Prix) · Eurovision Song Contest 2023
I didn't hear this entry until the final and it has become my favourite song from this year's contest. I'm glad it performed well on the night and in the charts here.

Jess Glynne - Silly Me
Why is that important?
-
Union J - Album/EP
The whole thing still feels ambiguous without an official statement as to what's going on.
-
Ed Sheeran - Eyes Closed
How relevant is a clip from many years ago now? Unless he's supposed to hang onto that forever.

Westlife
They've actually changed the set-list slightly with this current leg of the tour.

The re-emergence of CD singles
Would they? At least those who want to listen to exclusives can access them. Yes they have to pay for them but still.

The re-emergence of CD singles
Okay, I know it's only select artists doing this but I find it fascinating. Downloads overtook physical single sales in, what, the late 2000s? Are they considered a collector's item of sorts or are there people making a point of listening to 'As it Was' on CD?
