  1. Can hardly blame Adam for being pissed off. Why wait until then to decide you're done?
  2. This series has been an interesting one thus far. Quite a lot of magicians (it feels anyway) but Rafferty is the one that stands out for me - it could all play out very differently at the live shows though. It has been a while since a traditional stand-up did well on the show so it would be nice to see Ant & Dec's golden buzzer (Ted) gain some traction.
  3. David doing a great job at reading the room... It looks like a proper argument between Adam and Jimmy tonight though.
  4. We're still getting Britain First protest in areas of the UK. I forgot they still existed. As for the Epsom protests, the fact they care more about the race of the person who did it says a lot.
  5. Yeah they weren't to know. I thought they'd have made some savings somewhere though. Also if I were them I'd honestly have saved on accommodation for this leg. They're down to, what, less than 50% now?
  6. Not sure how Jo & Kush finish the race now with how much of their budget they splashed on that.
  7. What part of that do you think she was putting on?
  8. Enjoying the series so far. I know they're probably marmite but I do find Seann and Adam's laugh to be very contagious. I'm not really minding Gemma that much either.

There was another pet based task a few years ago and the experts said something like "it doesn't work because it implies the dog can talk" which I thought was a bit of a reach. While watching the episode, I thought it was gearing up for them losing though. The brand was pretty much the only thing they had going for them. As for the interviews, what is it with candidates that are clearly intelligent people that pitch businesses in areas they've got no experience in? It seems like we get a variant of that each year, the thing of "he already has a decent job, he should stick to that". Also, do they always just not work on their plans enough? Half the things they get caught out on surely could be avoided? I'm glad Karishma made the final. I wasn't sure if her business plan would let her down.
  10. I appreciate the BBC felt this was in the public's interest but I don't like how they've been drip feeding the information. It just leads to speculation that could end up being more harmful.
  11. They've dropped his episode of Celebrity Bake Off. Perhaps inevitable, plus those are self contained episodes anyway.

I'm a little surprised they cancelled the whole thing. Seemingly there was no back up plan.
  13. Was it a) his own pupil and b) an underage one? I think a combination of the two will always be an absolute no no, regardless of whether it has been several years since the pupil had left.
  14. It appears that they're now saying the BBC were aware.
  15. If I had to guess, it's a combination of those and him not disclosing them. Though even if he had I think he'd still have been sacked. There's probably more to it if he was dismissed almost instantly.
  16. I'm guessing it doesn't involve a minor, otherwise they'll have surely said that? From the sounds of it, this seems to have been about him not declaring it. I guess if there were no charges brought, it'd be fair enough to think it wouldn't need to be brought up (even if you were perhaps wrong). EDIT: They're now saying the boy in question was under 16: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwykq2lqjw7o
  17. Inappropriate behaviour - it was to do with text messages he sent to colleagues.
  18. I didn't mind Epic Sax Guy - it's a bit like when they got Mr Blobby a few years back. It makes for a fun bit of TV rather than them being a serious competitor (or maybe he is?). Or the Bobby Goldfinn guy the other year. I liked the magician that got KSI's golden buzzer but the others have been quite forgettable for me.
  19. It must be bad if something that occurred ten years ago can get you sacked today.

The fact that he was sacked immediately instead of "pending an investigation" (as it sounds) makes it seem like it was very serious.

#45 is pretty good. It's their biggest song that doesn't feature anyone.
  22. It was nice to see a comedy act get the golden buzzer. Comedy is a tough one on BGT because you're not really playing to a comedy audience, and you don't really know what's going to hit or not, but I hope he does well. We've had a few more choirs over the weeks, and magicians. They're entertaining enough but the problem with the latter is I really need them to do something different. The magician on this week's show didn't really do that.

I also thought it was too obvious to be him, but the twist (for want of a better word) came a bit out of the blue.

Isn't it just the framework that's American, not the humour?

Hang Tough has been used a lot more than I remember last series. It is very much a test of how long you can hold on, isn't it? 😄 I was rooting for Shaun purely for the story of him bettering his dad but Josh put in a very good showing.
