Whether it's good or not is subjective anyway. It seems your opinion in this case was unsolicited; Oritse wouldn't take advice from you so why would he take criticism? There's a few things that will give them "incentive to record something better" and a random comment on Instagram isn't one.

I read somewhere that they weren't going to tour or release an album this year at least but who knows next year. I couldn't see them doing what they used to and release a new one every year.

No idea but on the basis that Boyzone were able to continue after Stephen Gately's death, it's certainly possible if they were up to it.

Unfortunately I don't think music videos are something that many artists are even banking on much nowadays anyway. I don't see the harm in doing a smaller venue every now and again.

I'm glad they've released this. It appears to basically be the original track with the instrumental replaced with an orchestral version.

In live performances of Hello My Love, apart from the All Round to Mrs Brown's ones and any acoustic ones, Kian has mimed all of them. Fairly sure they all mimed the tour one but Nicky only mimed the first few (Graham Norton and National Television Awards). I suppose it's just something I pick up on cos I don't doubt they can sing but if they can do these songs in the studio, I don't see why they can't have a crack at it live. In fact, I don't think Kian has sung live in a major performance (on TV) in a long long time if ever. Even that live (not TV) Westlife medley he did in 2014 was all mimed. Most people won't pick up on it but my autistic brain seems to be able to notice. Especially as in some cases on the tours, Mark has also missed his cue.

I don't doubt that they are committed as they wouldn't be playing Wembley Stadium at this point in their career if they weren't. I can't help feeling that they could have made a bigger deal out of this reunion though, even without having to do much more. Maybe people won't book them cos of their ages, but a few more big performing spots could have done them a lot of good. I've no doubt it has come up before but surely doing a few live performances with Ed Sheeran is something that could really be good for them. Maybe Hello My Love, Perfect (Ed's song but could easily be a Westlife song). Also I'm currently watching back the Queen medley. I do like it but I'd rather they didn't mime. I suppose there's reasons why they did but I'd prefer it if they all sang live in the next tour (including Kian who I don't recall singing live at one of these big gigs).

It's a post-album single so it wouldn't do that well anyway. Sure, I do wish they did more prior to the album but oh well. Shame Mark didn't win Masked Singer too.

Today is 3 years since the Hello My Love video was released.

I'm fairly sure Robobunny on Masked Singer is Mark. They filmed this in November I believe, so probably explains why there wasn't much album promo. :D

I really like it. It's nicely melodic and ticks a lot of boxes.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see them at no. 2. I don't know why but it's a pretty good showing.

Listening to the Radio 2 performance from this morning. Generally good, at least it was fully live and I can see why Kian prefers to use playback for his bit in Starlight :P Will listen to the album either tonight or tomorrow.

Mark definitely was, although I'm not sure his high adlibs were. After playing it and the Strictly performance side-by-side, I'm sure of that and Kian & Nicky miming their bits.

Good performance on Jonathan Ross' show just now. Parts of it (namely Nicky & Kian's solos & Mark's high notes) sounded very similar to the Strictly performance to me though.

Even then it's not a big show and they'd at least have promoted it properly in the past. Do the rounds on the radio and performing on This Morning or whatever, but the singles seem an afterthought now. I get the focus on the album and so on but it's still a shame.

I'd like to hear Another Life, Without You and Repair live (from Spectrum). A shame they didn't get to tour that album. Of the classics I'm not really bothered about Home or Mandy. Keep World of Our Own, Flying Without Wings, You Raise Me Up etc of course. My Love, I preferred it when they did the acapella breakdown on the Where We Are and Greatest Hits tours. Would also be quite nice to hear them cover some Ed Sheeran songs - Perfect could easily be a Westlife song (for example).

They've started their tour. I've seen some clips. Interestingly they've added a key change to 'Proud'. I recall a review of the song (when it was first released) suggesting that it lacked one.

Slight thing: the MusicWeek article says it was their lowest charting single. Not entirely correct as My Blood came in at #96. I do think releasing it on the Friday would have helped a little. I know, Adele etc, but even then.

Very good performance, I agree. I shouldn't nitpick as a fan but I'm always suspicious as to whether Nicky & Kian are using playback or not. I know they can sing although I don't think you could hear them in the chorus. As for Mark's high notes, is that the highest he's sung in chest voice? I'm assuming it's chest voice anyway.
