The Wanted - Most Wanted: The Greatest Hits
Rule the World made #26 in the latest sales chart. That's with two days of sales.

Westlife - Wild Dreams
Even if they released a music video (which Westlife haven't for this one) it won't get to 1b within a day.

Westlife - Wild Dreams
I really like it. Hope it does really well. I hope to hear Kian sing those lines live too. What's the idea with releasing singles on Thursday?

Westlife - Wild Dreams
I suppose all they can hope for is a "halo" of sorts from Adele, in that her presence boosts sales of other albums. No harm in being No. 5 or whatever with higher sales than they got at No. 1 last time (unlikely perhaps but just a thought).

JLS - Eternal Love
They've not exactly made a big push for it, so I can't say I'm surprised at how it's charted either.

Westlife - Wild Dreams
I don't doubt it's something they've explored, it's a case of who wants to. Ed Sheeran would be a good choice but who knows.

Westlife - Wild Dreams
I like the sound of it. I wouldn't be too surprised if Ed Sheeran wrote this one too though.

Music video might help? It could be a slow burner rather than peaking in the first week. When they had their five no. 1s the X Factor machine was also massive.

Westlife - Spectrum
A bit disappointed that we never got to see them sing some of the Spectrum songs live. I hope they still do.

Westlife - Spectrum
Oh I see. A shame but inevitable I suppose.

Westlife - Spectrum
The Cork ones have been postponed. Wembley still seems to be going ahead, for now anyway.

A bit late on this, but he's miming this too. Play that and this side by side and the vocals are identical.

What are the DVD charts like at the moment?
I mean sales wise. We don't ever seem to really get them but I know that they've dropped off quite a bit over the years.

Do we still have a British music scene?
It feels that since streaming really took over, the charts have become a lot more Americanised - perhaps unsurprisingly so. But while there are exceptions, it feels that the British music scene right now isn't as distinctive as "British" - even compared to, say, 6 years ago when the likes of Ed Sheeran, Jess Glynne, Sam Smith etc were all initially breaking through. Although 6 years ago was when streaming was just introduced to the charts so... If you asked me what I'd define as the British music scene based on what's in the charts right now, I'd struggle.

I thought that bit was too low for a lower harmony anyway, myself. I'd like to hear Mark do his high bit in the chorus live. As things stand that bit is on playback whenever they do it live.

The X Factor Celebrities - Run
It says more about how the charts have changed. Don't get me wrong, X Factor's star has clearly fallen but when you're releasing it on Saturday you're already a day behind and it's not the sort of thing that will be streaming friendly anyway.

Westlife - Spectrum
It's a nice pop album. I don't love all the upbeat tracks but I do like the singles and some of the others. The CIN performance was a good first performance of the track.

Westlife - My Blood
I meant the tune.
-
Westlife - My Blood
I thought this song reminded me of one of their earlier songs. I was thinking "I Will Reach You" from the Gravity album.
-
Westlife - My Blood
Maybe the fans should just focus on the sales only chart. Westlife tend to chart well there anyway and you get more variety in that chart.

Westlife - My Blood
I like it. I think it's better than Dynamite, which personally didn't feel strong enough to be a single and in terms of timing its release seemed pretty random. They didn't do much promo for it either at the time. Much as I think they cocked up with the Hello My Love release by putting it out on a Thursday, although it probably didn't make that much of a difference to the chart position in the end. I liked Better Man but it was clearly a nod to their earlier material (it sounded very "What Makes a Man"). For me this is probably their second strongest of their comeback singles after Hello My Love but I think lyrically it's the strongest. I hope it at least charts, and being closer to the album release and having released a music video I hope it can make the top 40.

Westlife - Spectrum
It doesn't get 3.5 million these days. They've hardly ever done much of a push on Dynamite so its performance doesn't really surprise me. Does Kian still mime his part? Not having a pop, just interested as I saw the One Show performance. Does the management not trust him to sing live or something? Is it a conscious decision for them to be releasing the songs Ed Sheeran wrote as singles? I'm not complaining though.

They've managed to fill Croke Park a few times and that's a similar capacity.
