  1. Calum Scott is the newest success from the talent show vault. Really impressive to see how he's crept up the charts over the past few months.

Out of interest, does anyone have any of the weekly sales for "Everything I Do"?
  3. Calum Scott has done well for himself, so it's not just because they were on BGT.
  4. Where is the original version (by Calum Scott)?
  5. I'm really surprised how well this is doing. Is it only #1 when you combine the song with the remix or is it #1 on its own as well? It has already beaten Drake on paid-for sales. Whether it can do it on overall sales I don't know - it'll need its streaming to pick up a bit although the paid-for sales look healthy right now.
  6. I was going to suggest it was boosted by the music video but that was out a week ago. Was it performed on TV?
  7. Calum Scott has spent 12 weeks climbing from #40 to #4 with Dancing On My Own so that might be one of the recent success stories in terms of a song slowly building in popularity.

    In October 2013, the list looked like this: Position | Title | Artist | Sales | Highest Position 1 | I'M YOURS | JASON MRAZ | 732,111 | 11 2 | SET FIRE TO THE RAIN | ADELE | 663,508 | 11 3 | NUMB/ENCORE | JAY-Z & LINKIN PARK | 524,944 | 14 4 | EYE OF THE TIGER | SURVIVOR | 518,554 | 47 5 | MARRY YOU | BRUNO MARS | 510,205 | 11 6 | SKINNY LOVE | BIRDY | 506,747 | 17 7 | A THOUSAND YEARS | CHRISTINA PERRI | 501,764 | 11 8 | GOLD DUST | DJ FRESH | 488,882 | 22 9 | NEED YOU NOW | LADY ANTEBELLUM | 485,655 | 15 10 | HEY SOUL SISTER | TRAIN | 484,941 | 18 11 | SWEET CHILD O' MINE | GUNS N' ROSES | 465,128 | 56 I'm sure it's very different now what with streaming in the mix but does anyone have sales?
  9. Olly seems to be doing well. I don't think his streaming will hold up particularly well (I'm happy to be wrong) but I hope his sales are strong this week. Where's Calum Scott?
  10. Calum Scott still at #2?
  11. Giving this a little bump... Do we think threads like this (in addition to other threads which list sales for a certain group of artists) should be stickied in this forum?
  12. "Is This The Way to Amarillo" is my favourite as well. I like Love You More too. All X Factor winners singles since 2012 have also been released for charity. There is also the Justice Collective and NHS Choir which got the 2012 & 2015 Christmas No. 1 respectively. Not forgetting Band Aid of course.
  13. How is it random? It's been gathering support for months now, and I believe it's getting more radio airplay recently.
  14. Do you think we should list the biggest selling songs in the UK by boybands/girlbands too?
  15. I've got a few. I like Take That: Shine, Never Forget and These Days. I also like Love You More by JLS and What Makes You Beautiful, Story of My Life, Perfect & History from One Direction.
  16. On the album front, the chart positions (Boyle aside) have been pretty decent with a lot of artists managing top 10 albums. Obviously because of the hype back then, Susan's sales (for her debut album) were huge. Not many singers have even released singles. I've got more detail here: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...p;#entry5140956
  17. I think Calum just appeals to more of the record buying public than the others. Bars and Melody and Gabz debuted high enough (#5 and #6 respectively) but they didn't capture enough of the public's imagination to sustain that.
  18. It might be tricker for Olly to get a #1 in this day and age - certainly the last one that went to #1 for him was in an era where downloads/sales were much stronger. So he'd need a lot of momentum, with a decent amount of airplay he could get it.
  19. It's going to take a lot more sales for it to make no. 1 as its sales are a lot stronger than its streaming points. It sold 28k in the last frame (total) which might have accounted to around 22k sales and the rest from streaming. Maybe it'll get a boost from somewhere - if he does make #1 he'll be the first Britain's Got Talent act to do so (as far as singles are concerned) which would be nice to see. It'd be nice to see something garnering huge sales too.
  20. Well, I expect a massive drop-off for Three Lions.
  21. Clean Bandit & Louisa Johnson - Tears Reggie N Bollie - New Girl Rick Astley - Keep Singing Lukas Graham - 7 Years

That's probably my favourite. I found it amazing yet totally hilarious at the same time.
  23. What's Calum Scott's iTunes peak? Has he already surpassed it?
  24. I was just about the post the same thing. I think it could make the top 10. I'd be very interested to know how many people are actually streaming Three Lions.
  25. Where is Rick Astley and, out of interest, Matt Cardle & Ed Sheeran?
