UK Local Elections 2024
Looking forward to an annihilation of the Tories.

Rizzle Kicks - Javelin
I don't know what they see themselves doing, as they're both in their 30s now, but "palatable hip-hop" is actually a pretty good description. I didn't care for the genre in general but I liked some of their stuff.

Waterloo Road
I thought Kim was a bit unfair towards Amy. Yes, she crossed a line, but she was being provoked and she's clearly a bit naive and inexperienced, compared to someone like herself.

Jess Glynne - JESS
The transphobic slur and, to a lesser extent, the restaurant hoodie thing, didn't put her in a good light. However, I don't think it'd be fair to condemn her for eternity because of it. It'd be a different matter if she still had a habit of it but that doesn't appear to be the case. I think it's possible to say that without defending the person's actions.

New Graphics, Profile Fields, and more improvements
Is there a possibility of a mobile skin? I don't browse the forum on mobile that often but I think it'd make it slightly easier.

Ideal Series Length
24 episode seasons has predominantly been a US thing I think. With their sitcoms for example, they have big writers rooms. Our sitcoms will have one or two. I tend to watch in the traditional way - as broadcast, unless there's a clash with something else.

Race Across the World • Series 4
I'm rooting for James & Betty now, though I'm really liking Alfie & Owen now too.

United Kingdom · Eurovision Song Contest 2024
The whole "we deliberately send bad entries so we don't have to host" conspiracy is something I've never really understood. They have pumped a lot more support behind the entries since Sam. When was the last time a Eurovision entry got a performing spot on UK TV as big as Saturday Night Takeaway? Unless his vocals falter on the night (or the sound screws him over), I can't see why he can't finish in the top half.

Jess Glynne - JESS
I dunno, that sounds like she could have been joking? Even if she was, I can understand it being interpreted otherwise if she's not known for having that kind of persona.

Britain’s Got Talent • Series 17
Yeah, bit more gimmicky and silly acts yesterday, not as strong. But some good ones in there.

The Tory fibs and fabrishications thread, Mk III
Oh I really hope this is true. I can't take another 6 months of the Tories...

The Tory fibs and fabrishications thread, Mk III
She's got a book out. :puke2:

The Tory fibs and fabrishications thread, Mk III
She's really gone off the deep end. The fact she thinks that the establishment was against her (when she was Prime Minister) is one of many reasons why I can't take her seriously.

Noughties TV revivals you want to see
They've brought back Stars in their Eyes twice - first with Harry Hill in 2015 and then as 'Starstruck' with Olly Murs in 2022.

Noughties TV revivals you want to see
Harry Hill's TV Burp, though sadly would not happen.

Jess Glynne - JESS
I have no idea how this is going to perform for her. She was hot property at the time of her previous album with number one singles beforehand, but that's not really been the case this time, even in terms of top 10/20 hits.

Britain’s Got Talent • Series 17
Innocent was one of the best vocalists they've had on BGT, for me. Liked the woman doing the animal impressions too.

Britain’s Got Talent • Series 17
I think they should rush something out and put it on the various platforms, it'd be a good bit of extra publicity for the show if it does well.

Take That - This Life
Especially as it seems that for most artists, albums fall off dramatically in sales after the first week.

Britain’s Got Talent • Series 17
Loved it. Nice mix of the sublime and the silly. Happy with the two Golden Buzzers. I thought the impressionist was very good too. The goldfish guy was very daft but very Britain's Got Talent.

Noughties TV that could never be made today
It's hard to think The Jeremy Kyle Show even ran till 2019 and they only got rid of it because they had a reason to. I mean, I get it. It was very successful for them in the ratings, but it was so out of step with how telly had moved on.

Britain’s Got Talent • Series 17
Yeah, even if they just do them for YouTube or whatever. It's nice to hear of behind the scenes stuff too. They like to look back at SuBo and Diversity (obviously as that year was another level) but there's so many other great acts too.

Noughties TV that could never be made today
You've Been Framed were still making new episodes as recently as a few years ago, surprisingly. Some of Harry Hill's jokes during 'TV Burp' wouldn't fly now either, like the one here about Sian Lloyd.
