Top 100 Singles + Albums; W/E 19/03/20
That's the exact issue streaming being included for Greatest compilations causes. Those dozens of hits added together will just make them chart high every week for years and years on end. As long as people keep revisiting all of Eminem's hits the album will chart whether it's being listened to directly or not. Sooner or later, albums chart will just be hogged with only Greatest Hits albums. There's no way artist's single studio albums can compete with streams of compilations that have every single hit across all their albums cherrypicked and combined. As you said, that's then more indicative of artist popularity not individual album popularity.

Thanks for pointing that out, I was accidentally thinking moreso of the US chart's way of assigning streams to albums. Still, compilations with dozens of radio hits across different albums combined should not have their streams compared to single studio albums on a chart. They misewell add streaming to NOW compilations if that is the route they choose.

Eminem's Curtain Call passes 400 weeks, as it's #33 on this week's chart. However it's not in the sales top 100. It's not even in the physical sales top 100, or digital sales top 100. It's time to discuss how Greatest Hits albums get their popularity incorrectly inflated by streams. They assign the streams of all an artist's hit singles to the album, just because they tend to be better sellers than their studio albums. However most of the time when people stream these hits, they're not streaming from GH albums. You could be listening to The Eminem Show album, and Without Me's streams would go to the GH, not The Eminem Show. If an artist like Ed Sheeran released a Greatest Hits in the streaming era, it would practically chart top 10 every single week, whether people are actually streaming the album itself, because all of his huge singles would have their streams combined towards it every week. Thus the actual popularity of the GH becomes largely inflated. Also, if NOW Compilations don't have streams of 50 hits included in their totals, why should Greatest Hits? It's unfair to have compilations that have dozens of radio hits get their streaming compared to studio albums with only a handful of hits. All compilations in general should be sales only.

Album YTD Sales estimates
Does anyone happen to know if there's a list estimating the top-selling albums of the 2010s decade? Like the OCC list, but with estimated sales figures for every album.

Friday Chart Predictions
If the song is pulling huge numbers at Amazon Music on its own merit, don't you think that non-Amazon Music users who aren't looking to subscribe would buy the song on Amazon? And as someone said, if 'songs at the top of Amazon's sales chart are selling 5 copies', then why wouldn't she be able to do well there and hit #1? You mean to tell me she gets enough streams from Amazon Music alone to outdo nearly everyone's Spotify + Apple Music + Amazon Music streams combined, but she can't even sell 5 copies on their Amazon store?

Friday Chart Predictions
The song is only #17 on Amazon's sales chart despite being exclusively sold there, so clearly most of its activity is just Amazon recommending it to streamers. I'd be more likely to believe people went out their way to listen to it if it was also #1 on the Amazon Sales chart.

Ellie is definitely benefitting from extreme Amazon promotion with Alexa. I'm guessing anytime someone asks Alexa to play Holiday music, her song is the first one played. Maybe a rule where Holiday tracks limited to one service wouldn't be eligible to chart should be done if in the future any other Amazon exclusives keep being #1 contenders simply from Amazon's humongous promotion.

Actually, the top 15 took the whole page. I would have to scroll down and leave out #1 to see #16.

19 weeks now. Anybody have a full list of where he'd land?- Songs with most weeks Top 10?
Now that Drake's reign at #1 is over, can we see where he'll possibly be in territory in terms of weeks top 10?- OCC: The UK's 60 biggest selling albums of all time
I have a question. In US they started officially tracking sales with Nielsen Soundscan in 1991. In UK they've always tracked real sales since 1956? Or if not when did they do it? I'm confused at how albums as early as 1967 have sales numbers. :o Thought there wasn't technology to properly track sales then?
