  5. This song came up loads of times in the recent Robbie Williams Rewind Podcast as a favourite for the upcoming tour setlist . It's not a favourite of mine live but it seemed to appeal to a lot of young people with over 100 ml views of the official video on YT & 49k in comments , mostly good This was the 2013 Brit performance 😎
  6. The Better Man film is a brilliant vortex, like the life of Robbie Williams Posted: 2 minutes ago Author: Garavelli Mario Compelling narration, powerful message, the biographical film Better Man, (now on Sky but in cinemas it is something else entirely) based on the life and personal dramas of Robbie Williams, tells the parable of the singer from crazy and penniless to idol of the crowds and one of the richest men in England. The main genius is the gamble made by director and producer Michael Gracey to give the character who plays Williams the face of a monkey, a choice that at first clashes and you wait impatiently for him to turn into a man, then you get used to it and you don't pay attention to it anymore, also because the eyes are those of the singer. So this monkey who plays the artist tells of his tiring personal growth, resilience and search for an authentic identity, drowned as he was first in a present but somewhat cumbersome family, then in Take That and then in an ocean of alcohol accompanied by drugs of all kinds. The film explores the concept of "getting better" when it's dark inside, highlighting the importance of relationships and mutual support. But the film is not only about intimate morality: the performances of the cast between actors and dancers are remarkable, and the choreography literally stunning, such as to make Baz Luhrmann's films musicals in my opinion. The monkey is Oscar-worthy. A visionary work like few others with a careful cinematography, syncopated shots that capture the moment of both moods and scenes with a breathtaking rhythm, all amplified by a soundtrack that would make even a hermit dance in the desert. 7. Recreating the Knebworth Festival for Better Man by Wētā FXvfxexpress April 19, 2025 Robbie Williams’ legendary 2003 Knebworth Festival performance isn’t just a milestone in British music history — it’s also a key moment in Better Man. To bring this iconic concert to life on screen, Wētā FX faced the challenge of blending archival footage from the real show with scenes filmed on a replica stage built in Serbia. The team used a combination of digital set extensions and precise VFX artistry to match every detail, ensuring the recreated environment felt authentic and seamless alongside the original footage. The result is a flawless visual tribute that captures the scale, energy, and emotion of one of the UK’s most unforgettable live performances. 9. 10 Recent Movies That Made INSANE Choices9. Robbie Williams Is A Chimp - Better Man Paramount Pictures To be a fly on the wall when filmmaker Michael Gracey pitched a biopic of Robbie Williams which saw the pop music legend portrayed by a digital chimpanzee. Given that generic biopics of beloved musicians are an easy sell to audiences in the conservative current cinema landscape, it's completely unhinged to ignore the most obvious, commercial path forward and instead spend $110 million on one of the most peculiar biopics of all time. But to be clear, Better Man was also quite brilliant - a gamble that absolutely paid off artistically, even if it was unsurprisingly a box office flop due to both its bonkers execution and Williams' general obscurity outside of Europe. The whole chimp concept, which could so easily have been a mere attention-seeking gimmick, actually works shockingly well in underlining Williams' anxieties as both a performer and a human being. It's just totally insane that anyone, anywhere greenlit the idea with the apparent confidence that it could possibly turn a profit. Time will be kind to Better Man as more audiences discover it on streaming, but from a business perspective its existence is a complete head-scratcher. 10 Recent Movies That Made INSANE Choices – Page 2

  12. I think sharing your chips is one of the best compliments you can give somebody 😄
  13. Yes, Laura he has worked with TT , their staging always looks amazing. You can read about him in the link below Biography | Kim Gavin When I look back at Robbie's gigs my favourite stage & presentation to date has to be Knebworth , that whole scene was amazing, it has never dated . I also loved the circular stage for the Take The Crown tour at the O2 , I thought that really worked & was kinda cool. I am expecting big things for this Summer.
  14. I really enjoyed listening to everyone's song preferences for the upcoming tour. Lovely to hear 17 year old Claudia from Austria talk about how she became a Robbie fan, makes me feel really really old 😊but great that his songs touches her heart. She was fun to listen to. Great idea by Lucy & Matt to do this podcast just before the tour & I hope Robbie gets to hear it . Also great listening to the fans that travel from many places worldwide to see Robbie perform , they are just amazing people Great song selections, I would think Me & My Monkey appeared on nearly everyone's list, Tripping was also very popular . I think Lucy's idea of a medley is a great idea, I think Laura mentioned the same thing . I hate those covers that he does , such a waste when he has such a back catalogue of great songs himself, he should be proud of them
  15. I heard today on the Robbie Williams Rewind podcast that Kim Gavin may be involved in the upcoming 2025 tour, he was creative director for the Hyde Park gig so if he is involved I am sure it will be a great show visually .
