  11. Robbie Williams in Gelsenkirchen: "I love FC shit"Stand:06/29/2025, 09:18 AM By: Linda Mey Robbie Williams celebrated his Tour opener in Germany. © Mike Gray/Avalon/Imago Robbie Williams started his concert tour in Germany on June 25th. He has thrilled his fans with emotional and rocking moments. Gelsenkirchen – Right at the beginning, Robbie Williams makes it clear: "Tonight is all about f***ing entertainment". His goal: to be the "King of Entertainment". To do this, he needs the support of the audience in the Veltins Arena this evening (Wednesday, 25 June). The fans don't need to be told twice and fill the location with cheers, clapping and excitement. Shortly before the start of the show, a dark and expectant atmosphere spreads in the Veltins Arena. An AI voice introduces the big moment: Then Robbie Williams enters the stage. From one second to the next, the dark arena becomes a bright and colorful show stage. In a space suit, the British singer starts with the song "Rocket" and flies up to the stage ceiling. It is his first concert in Germany as part of the "BRITPOP" tour, matching the new album of the same name in autumn. In addition to his vocal performance, Robbie Williams also swept fans away with his elaborate stage sets, glittering dancers and charm. Robbie Williams in Schalke Arena: Singer annoys football fansIn total, Robbie Williams performs 20 songs during the 2-hour concert. For some songs, the singer switches to a small stage island in the middle of the arena interior. The platform is called C-Stage: "If Coldplay has something like that, I want to have one too," he reveals in English. There he sings "Surpreme" and "Relight my fire" together with a guitarist, among others. Robbie Williams also takes the Veltins Arena itself as an opportunity for a few sayings. With the matching fan scarf in his hand, the British star asks the audience for his opinion on FC Schalke. The singer's fans react with a mixture of cheers and loud boos. Robbie also clarifies with a cheeky smile and broken German: "I love FC Scheiße". Robbie Williams wants to inspire his fans not only musically, but also with entertainment. © Mike Gray/Avalon/Imago Robbie Williams surprises with love confession: "They are everything"Between the songs, he heats up the mood in the audience again and again. With jokes about himself or his time with the former boy band "Take That", he causes changing emotions among the fans. A conversation between the singer and his teenage version became funny and emotional at the same time as an AI video (more news about events at RUHR24). The father of four also addresses his family and past. The singer was completely lost before he married his wife Ayda Field. They are the reason for him to be in this world. "They are everything," the singer emphasizes. Robbie Williams also openly addresses his drug addiction at the time and his recurring self-doubt in front of the fans. Robbie Williams in Germany: Fans are happy about "Feel" and "Angels"In addition to the party hits "Rock DJ" or "Let me entertain you", the singer also provides goosebumps moments. The songs are accompanied by energetic choreographies with background dancers. While Robbie Williams sang "Feel" and "Angels" together with the fans at the emotional end, the arena was filled with white mobile phone lights. 19. Robbie Williams teases Glastonbury performance 30 years after his infamous first visitIs Robbie heading to Worthy Farm?By Nick Reilly Robbie Williams (Picture: Leo Baron) It’s been suggested that Robbie Williams could be making an appearance at Glastonbury, 30 years after the singer left Take That and headed to Worthy Farm for a wild weekend of partying with Oasis. Posting on Instagram this morning, the singer shared an image of a tongue-in-cheek blue plaque that has been posted in the festival’s hospitality area to mark the three-decade milestone of his trip. “1995. Robbie Williams entered this area without accreditation, authorisation, or alignment with prevailing taste. His presence was uninvited, unofficial and ultimately inevitable,” reads the plaque. There’s no indication that Robbie is actually on site, but the plaque hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about whether a performance could be on the cards. “Can’t cope soooooo excited please please please,” wrote one fan on Instagram. Another said: “If it already being Friday wasn’t enough to pop a smile on your face
we get this!! How exciting.” Williams’ trip to the festival in 1995 saw him wearing a distinctive red tracksuit with white stripes, which has become the cover image for his new album Britpop. He also played the event in 1998. Reviewing Robbie’s show at the Emirates Stadium earlier this month, we hailed it as “one of the most thrilling stadium shows of the year”. Today marks day three of Glastonbury 2025, with The 1975 headlining the festival for the first time ever this evening. Check back at RollingStone.co.uk for all the latest news. Above him hangs the banner 'Schalke 04 - ein Leben lang'. The pop star gave the first German concert of his current 'Britpop' tour at the sold-out Veltins-Arena on Wednesday. 'I loved this Gelsenkirchen and it's great to be back in Germany - see you again very soon,' Williams writes under the photo on Instagram. The other images in the post show various moments from the concert evening: the former Take That star on stage with a microphone, his crew backstage, happy fans in the audience, and the scene from the locker room of second-division club FC Schalke 04. Old and New on the 'Britpop' TourGelsenkirchen is the second stop on Robbie Williams' European tour, named after his upcoming album 'Britpop' planned for fall. In the packed stadium, the singer presented both new songs and his well-known hits. The performance began with his newest single 'Rocket', followed by 'Let Me Entertain You' and other classics from his repertoire. Williams performed with an 18-piece band and used various stage effects. Between songs, he talked to the audience and shared stories from his life marked by drug abuse, as reported by the 'SĂŒddeutsche Zeitung' among others. The show lasted about two hours and ended with the encores 'Feel' and 'Angels'. Six More German DatesAfter Gelsenkirchen, Williams has six more German concerts ahead. On June 30, he will perform at the Heinz von Heiden Arena in Hannover, followed by a show at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig on July 9. Next are two Berlin concerts on July 21 and 22 at the WaldbĂŒhne. His German tour concludes with performances at Munich's Olympic Stadium on July 26 and at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt on August 10. Currently, tickets are only available for the show in Leipzig. In total, Robbie Williams' 'Britpop' tour includes over 30 dates across Europe. After Germany, the tour leads to Paris, Barcelona, Vienna, and Stockholm, among others. Additional stops include Dublin, Prague, Budapest, and Helsinki. The tour concludes with a performance in Istanbul on October 7. On Tour in Germany: Robbie Williams Rocks Schalke Stadium
