1. Reminds me of 'I'm So Excited' by the Pointer Sisters!
2. Really thought when it came out the MK remix of Swim would have made the low top 40, but it didn't even go top 100.
3. I think that to some of the big dance producers now, the 2011-2 EDM-pop sound Pitbull and Guetta were part of back then is seen as dated now, although I would like more big synth based dance music to come back!
4.
192 NE Ely Oaks – Running Around 78,847 PEAK
I have heard this it has a synth riff that is rather 90s eurodance I think.
5. I like the first verse its more like 2012 progressive house-pop than 2014 house though with maybe some older eurodance vibes too but then it goes a bit generic with the piano, I am bored of pianos in dance at the moment. The vocal is good though.
6. The production is a bit Crystal - The Days (Notion remix)
7. 'Suddenly' is very Peter Cetera 'Stop' is fun and very 1984 Hi-NRG
8. The 1988 thread has reminded me - Angry Anderson and his not so angry ballad!
9. TheSnake posted a post in a topic in Forum News and Help
Buzzjack would lose some of its personality if it had no shoutbox. It's also great for announcing events such as BJSC listen throughs!
10. Lol at 'listening to music as it peaks on the chart' being described as a 'parabolic rate' that would be a very slow rate these days!
11. 'Two Hearts' is very good, way better than 'Groovy Kind of Love'.
12. This sounds like its from 2005!? I like it.
13. Yeah if it wasn't for brat bringing back electro house this probably wouldn't have been released!
14. I like this - the chorus synths remind me of the nostalgic early 00s deeper side of trance like 4 Strings - Take Me Away.
15. Revolving Door is quite 'Fred Again..' sounding production-wise I like it
16. Amazing #1 - I have long loved that song
17. 'Need You Tonight' and its riff is iconic! Fab rock track!
18. 'Real Gone Kid' by Deacon Blue is iconic and has become a classic. 'First Time' by Robin Beck is a good song, writing a love song to a bottle of cola is interesting! Can't think of the song without thinking of the Sunblock 2006 version which to its credit used the original vocal. '1, 2, 3' by Gloria Estafan is good, not as good as 'Rhythm Is Gonna Get You' though!
19. Yes Lovefool big radio airplay at the time I remember and still a MOR radio fave. Thought the Cardigans were from Wales until recently. 'Old Before I Die' is perhaps Robbie's most indie/rock track, and one of my faves from him!
20. Never Trust A Stranger has a much less cheesy chorus than You Came, it also sounds more like 1984 Hi-NRG. We Call It Acieed is good but this #23 peaking hit from around the same time is more reflective of the acid house bassline sound: OBxavKCtyt8 Also, not really acid house, but there was this piano house track that peaked at #22 that I really like! It's produced by Todd Terry under a different name. ElMn7m75fdk
21. The title lyrics, I thought it was from Caity Baser's new song (because of the 'say it out loud' bit), but it was actually from Anne Marie. Both Buzzjack faves with similar styles of music though! Surprised to see myself ahead of Cheekie Magpie and the same as Gezza!
22. When i listen to it, I often sing along 'song 2' to the chorus of that Blur song instead of 'woo hoo'. I guess the Orbital and The Course tracks are like today's dance hits which mostly require a famous sample to be a hit at the moment! Luckily there was plenty of completely original dance like Bellissima in 1997 too.
23. Wish the tech house beatport #1 Stephanie was the one that kept reappearing in the spotify top 200
24. The Course's version of 'Ready or Not' is such a bop! The production is great! Shola Ama's version of 'You Might Need Somebody' I really like too, its is an MOR radio classic!
25. 'It's No Good' is one of Depeche Mode's best songs!
