  1. Spawn Room - so its video game spawning locations not frogspawn as I first thought?!
  2. That Fairground Attraction song is good. Def Leppard with 'Love Bites' recently at #11 was a way better rock track than that Iron Maiden song.
  3. It's the fourth UK house #1 but as you say it's different to the others because its more of a conventional song in terms of structure. Locomotion is good enough!
  4. The Apple chart is back on here with its random dance song usually at the lower end of the top 200 :cheer: A dance cover of Rihanna and Justin Timberlake's song 'Rehab' at #200 is today's one, its quite good but the Nilin and Kane Beachball style has been overused, try other forms of hard house/trance.
  5. 'View From A Bridge' and 'The Second Time' have the best production for Kim Wilde songs I think both Hi-NRG but not as cheesy as S/A/W productions or 'You Came'.
  6. What an update! 'The Only Way Is Up' is way more poppy than 'Doctorin' The House', and its nice to hear a full song being done in the house style. I used to associate 'The Only Way Is Up' with the Communards 'Don't Leave Me This Way' and 'Never Can Say Goodbye' two and one years earlier respectively but it has that acid house bassline that makes it house and not hi-NRG. I still like to think of it as an evolution of the Communards' sound though, especially as its a cover of a song from the disco era. 'You Came's chorus is cheesy, of its time and very Stock Aitken Waterman! Oh and that is a good follow up from S'Express with its quirky samples like AINT THIS THE MOTHER! But its more of a conventional song structure than Theme From S'express.
  7. Like Ne-Yo's Beautiful Monster in that regard! This song is very 2012 tbh! There is very little dance in the charts and pop has been so pure pop or folk pop. So it stands out! I guess the sucess of Charli's Brat album has brought dance, specifically electro back.
  8. Oh my its like RAYE, a drop of golden sun!
  9. Horton hears a Who! I like 'Who' anway it has old school Justin Timberlake vibes and has a similar guitar melody to 'Am I Wrong?' by Nico and Vinz.
  10. It was used on a dog charity advert a few years ago in the UK which made it a lot more bearable.
  11. 'Push It' is such a bop and 'Fast Car' is very good.
  12. Oh I recognise the part of the middle of that Fugees song in a certain song we'll see when we get to 2001 on this, as it uses the same sample but I think I definitely prefer that 2001 song. 'Who Do You Think You Are' is very good, influenced by the recent revival of disco influenced dance music that there was. 'Mama' is a nice enough ballad.
  13. I was the one who voted for that Morten/David Guetta remix - I actually really like it with its bass drops. Its better than the glitchy slightly headache inducing Nimino track.
  14. 'I Owe You Nothing' is a good #1, I tend to compare other dance-pop at this time to Stock Aitken Waterman's productions and production-wise its quite similar but they wouldn't have such bitter lyrics but it works in this song. 'In The Air Tonight' - what a classic although I am more familar with the original 1981 version.
  15. The original and best Sabrina! Sounds like a precursor of early 90s Eurodance for me, especially with the rap in it! 'Everyday Is Like Sunday' is great, they even use some synths in the song which the Smiths didn't use.
  16. The acoustic orchestral version was in a Nationwide Building Society advert in 2014.
  17. That's good, I liked Odd Mob's similar genre remix to John Summit and venbee - Palm Of My Hands which was a hit on Beatport.
  18. 'Raving In The Studio' overshadowed by 'A Guy Called'. Sad, we need more dance hits.
  19. Jack Harlow's 'Lovin' On Me' a year ago was very DJ Mustard in production but yeah the bass synths are louder in 'Fat, Juicy and Wet'.
  20. The old hits from Fleetwood Mac, Arctic Monkeys would be higher in the chart probably, as they are used more on TikTok and other social media.
  21. The Voyage song and remix is good, another Euro-disco hit to addd to the numerous Italo-disco ones in the 80s.
  22. Didn't know that - what I meant is production like Pebbles - Girlfriend or Janet Jackson - What Have You Done For Me Lately.
  23. Its good but I wanted it to go full trance which is what the buildup suggested. I am bored of piano in dance its been overused since 2018. Sounds just as big as the Sonna Fodera/Clementine Douglas song out the week before.
  24. Thought LA Mix missed the top 10 and peaked at #12 for some reason! Good to see it there, I like the main horn synth melody and the end of it with its 'yeah woo' sample fun! Thought dance and R&B like Whitney's upbeat songs would have switched to house, or new jack swing, production but maybe not yet.
  25. There is also a weird tech house remix on Beatport top 10 called 'Stephanie'; is it connected via some Stephanie meme?! Different lyrics though!
