'Love of the Common People' is very similar melodically to Noah and The Whale 'L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N'! 'Oblivious' is a nice song but yeah Aztec Camera's other hit is way better. 'Thriller' is a good song but its more about the video! Same with Marilyn. The Style Council song is a good fast Northern Soul influenced song, preferable to the slow 'Long Hot Summer' and they have more good songs in 1984.

'Edge of Heaven' is vibrant, not as good as 'Freedom' though. 'Every Loser Wins' does sound like an extension of the Eastenders theme tune. Is it better than Anita Dobson 'Anyone Can Fall In Love'? Not sure.

Wasn't really a fan of 'Changed The Way You Kiss Me' because of overplay on radio maybe and also maybe the lyrics. But now I like it, progressive dance music that builds up in the verses needs to come back (even though CTWYKM is not one of the best examples of the genre).

It is a nice enough song but a bit slushy and cheesy and I prefer more upbeat reggae. Still would rather listen to Boris than than many of the late 80s cheesy love ballads like 'Hungry Eyes' or 'Waiting For A Star to Fall'.
