  1. About those 1994 songs, I remember Youssou + Neneh - 7 Seconds from the time, just great. D:Ream - U R The Best Thing (Perfecto Radio Mix) is one of my faves of 1994, chorus is so joyous. Cappella - Move On Baby good too. I think Boyzone and their producers were definitely influenced for 'A Different Beat' from Enigma - Return to Innocence. Gloworm - Carry Me Home is a great dance tune but forgotten apart from maybe Christian radio, as its quite gospely. Snap - Welcome To Tomorrow sounds influential for the whole Clubland sound of the early 00s like XTM - Fly On The Wings Of Love. Finally the Outhere Brothers in 1995 took Reel 2 Reel's production!
  2. Queen of midweek releases.
  3. Or more votes for Armin/Laing/uncredited Cappella please?
  4. There are a few Europop songs that have very similar female and male vocal style to 'Another Night' by The Real McCoy on videos of Switzerland Alpine scenery on Tiktok. Almost certainly AI songs though. . I wish humans would make songs like 'Another Night' again instead.
  5. 'Another Night' and 'Rhythm of the Night' are joyous. 'Crazy For You' is cheesy but a good upbeat pop song.

I'd rather jack than Fleetwood Mac.
  7. 'Long Train Running' remix is good! Better than the other train-based song in the top 10 from Soul Asylum, which is a bit dreary. I'm happy at the Culture Beat and Urban Cookie Collective follow up hits staying a few weeks top 10. Gezza, you are missing one Christmas #1 contender from a veteran act!
  8. Haven't heard the live version. So it combines drum and bass and trance, like Example did on All The Wrong Places?!
  9. Streaming era style chart run and yes it was overplayed on radio/music channels. I had enough of it in the charts about halfway through its top 40 run!

Olivia Dean's music is definitely more Heart than Capital I would say!
  11. I like the name of your chart, it reminds me of when Apple phone autocorrect used to change the word airplay to AirPlay on buzzjack - the reason being that AirPlay was an Apple service.

I'm sure some occasional discussion about recurrent songs they play on Capital on here is OK, just not all the time?!
  13. JoJo - Too Little Too Late - does that count?
  14. I was wondering whether he was having a hiatus or not, haven't seen anything new from him for ages on the dance track of the week thread but 'Here In Your Arms' is back in Apple top 200 because of the good weather.
  15. Dynamite is quite good but I prefer the 2011-12 Club Banger era songs with the euphoric synths.
  16. Also Calvin and Rihanna's We Found Love kind of copied the synth riff from Saturday Night even my parents noticed that!
  17. Dee dee dee na na na! I remember it and my parents talking about it at the time I was only three years old - didn't really like it as it I thought it was a hedonistic weekend drinking and partying anthem! Now I like it though.

Gonna vote this as thread of the year in the end of year awards!
  19. Its mostly dance (Chrystal, Jazzy) and rap though not pop.
  20. Yeah that has the Finally vocal in it and the other one doesn't.
  21. Rein Me In screams rainy day winter hit to me.

Some summery older songs should be played on Capital I agree because of the heatwave. They did play Kungs this afternoon apparently. Am I Wrong should be a perennial summer time radio hit like Waves. Boys of Summer by DJ Sammy is more summery than Heaven.

    Only some fake Madrid players.
  24. 'Give Me Tonight' I entered into one of the Club Bizarre contests on Buzzjack its great ahead of its time dance. 'Crazy' is Seal's best track I think! You are a bit early for 'People are People' we are still on 1983 atm on the every top 40 thread on the Buzzjack 20th century forum.
