  1. You have done Love Story (vs Finally) a disservice by not putting up the superior 'vs Finally' version of the music video!

Yes that relaxing summery hit Rockstar by Nickleback 💀
  3. Yes they were quite the emotive stadium dance hits! I remember at the time disliking Radio 2 for not playing the Alesso version of If I Lose Myself! I mean it's not that heavy dance.
  4. 'Don't Stop The Music' is very good, a few years ahead of its time with its electronic production. 'I Surrender' by Rainbow is a good rock track. But yes I slightly prefer Graham Bonnet - Night Games! Original Christopher Cross 'Ride Like The Wind' charted for you then in 1980, very good song both original and East Side Beat! 'The Freeze' by Spandau low for you, its a good fast funk and synth track and it sounds like ANOTR has borrowed the light sounding guitar bit after the first chorus for his recent hit Talk To You!
  5. 'Somedays' back again Fresh music 'React', 'Remember' and 'Bed' may only be a few years old, but they sound like another era now of when commercial dance actually charted.
  6. Double Dutch is fun and good summery South African influenced music. There was a remix of it on TOTP 1999 recently which was nowhere near as good. Who's That Girl is good and indeed does build well. The Cure - The Walk in parts sounds like Blue Monday a bit, the other Eastern sounding synth effect in it was kind of used by Addison Rae last year in Fame Is A Gun.

Its a good idea to still have a Big Top 40, if they can use more data from the Apple Music streaming chart which often seems a bit fresher than Spotify charts (having said that, Somedays is back at #12 on Apple )

Your comment on new comments made me think 'Go' was taking off in the US chart for a moment there.
  9. Yay Evanescence influence won the day!

Its nice enough. She has used Bella Kay style fast acoustic guitar production but iloveitiloveitiloveit is still the better song imo.
  11. 'Real Love' sounds very 1992 rave, the chorus is a bit cheesy but a good dance track. 'Feels Like Heaven' is gloriously upbeat and charming and reminds me of a 90s version of Yazoo - Other Side of Love.
  12. 'Promise This' I do really like especially the production and prefer to 'Fight For This Love'.

I wouldn't knowingly send an AI entry to BJSC don't worry. I am just a bit disturbed that I actually found that I like an AI song, because of its pastiche of a genre I like.

Help, I like an AI song I found on Tiktok that fits into my 90s Europop love. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNRnuM311/
  15. I discovered on one of the recent shows Dope Smugglaz with Double Double Dutch, it didn't really work and the original by Malcolm McLaren (which appeared quite recently on the 1983 listenback on Buzzjack) is way better.

'Scandalous' was on the GTA 5 soundtrack I suppose!
  17. I like James Hype - Seratonin but I wish it went harder! Is Nathan Dawe on hiatus? I am bored of Milky - Just The Way You Are, her much shorter chart run in 2002 was about right! So Much In Love was defintely D.O.D's best track his new one doesn't compare.
  18. Replay was OK
  19. 'Got 2 Get It' doesn't get enough liking, I think it is a great follow up for Culture Beat and much better than their next hit. 'Give It Up' is very good and different with the Latin style beats and an Oriental sounding riff.
  20. Oh them and their Rae Sremmurd style band name :drama:
  21. Voted for Armin, Hannah Laing and Wippenberg a complete 𝚛̶𝚒̶𝚙̶-̶𝚘̶𝚏̶𝚏̶ redux of Cappella U Got 2 Know but the original is so good and this new version is still great.
  22. Will vote for 𝙲̶𝚊̶𝚙̶𝚙̶𝚎̶𝚕̶𝚕̶𝚊̶ , Armin and Hannah Laing when the thread goes up. The original appeared on the 1993 thread quite recently on here!
  23. All Time Low shouldn't be this low, it is great, and with the dance buildup before the last chorus a precursor to the SHM Don't You Worry Child type anthem!
  24. 'Waiting For Tonight' such a good Latin-house song. I liked it at the time. I also like Emma Bunton's song about 'philosophy and religion'. Tin Tin Out still really popular producers in '99. That Savage Garden song is pure cheese but still a pleasant listen.

I like it. Its confessional pop, like Lola Young but better than Lola Young's new track.
