  1. Just listened to it and its great!
  2. Glad Mr Vain got a couple of weeks at the top. We need a revival of that sort of dance music now! Its deeper lyrically than their other songs.
  3. Paul Young - Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home) Freeez - I.O.U. The Cure - The Walk Eurythmics - Who's That Girl? Malcolm McLaren - Double Dutch Mike Oldfield - Moonlight Shadow Ultravox - We Came To Dance The Paul Young song has the atmospheric 80s ballad vibes of an early Cars - Drive I think! IOU is an early house-pop precursor track! The Walk is good (a bit Blue Monday-ish) apart from 1 line. I think some of the synths in the song inspired Addison Rae - Fame Is A Gun! Who's That Girl is a third good Eurythmics single. Double Dutch is fun, summery and has a lot of South African influence in the music. Moonlight Shadow a good classic and also was covered as a Eurotrance song by Groove Coverage in the early 00s. Ultravox We Came To Dance melody reminds me of ABBA - The Winner Takes It All.
  4. It's gotta be Spandau Gold this time too! EDIT: not released yet This is going so fast. I am not even at the Synctube sessions but still like to vote for it. I am happy Temptation and Love Is A Stranger did well in the poll.
  5. I was thinking 1 week low top 40 on Official Chart but I don't think it will even do that now. Commercial dance scene isn't that big anymore.
  6. There was great music in the chart in October 1994 and then there was 'Sure'. Understandably rather forgotten in Take That's discography.
  7. Its a political chart with Kneecap at #2 and Stella Lefty entering!
  8. To say Macy Gray - I Try was on the music channels a lot at the time is an understatement. Genie In A Bottle is a good #1. I really like Ann Lee Two Times, production is a bit Vengaboys but it is still good.
  9. That @Scene is iconic. The capital letter! If Go can chart and lead to more interesting dance tracks like it being created and charting that's great (Prospa and Anotr just not interesting enough in production for me).
  10. Great #1 'Right Here' is very nice too, good use of the sample.
  11. 'The Club is Alive' sampling The Sound of Music I cringed at at the time. But yeah JLS have better dance-R&B-pop later on in their career, 'Eyes Wide Shut' for example and 'She Makes Me Wanna' was a decent #1.
  12. Shape of Your Heart is very Westlife. Nostalgic though. Voted for Sov from Celebrity Big Brother.
  13. 'Release the Pressure' was better than the segment I have heard from this.....even if the screechy Fred Again style synth effect in the drop is not one of my faves. Production wise this song 'Satisfy' is like One Kiss which isn't one of my Calvin faves. However Jazzy has an endearing voice.
  14. I love Mr Vain, such a hard hitting track!
  15. TheSnake posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
I'm only just getting over the overplay of the Jax Jones/MNEK rip-off version on radio a few years ago!
  16. and Oran 'Juice' Jones
  17. Children of the Universe made #23 in 2014. (And omg I just found she was in Stunt which had one of my fave #9 hits in 2008 (with Sash!) Raindrops (Encore Une Fois).
  18. Molly Smitten-Downes
  19. Must be a few from the 50s, 60s and 70s we have missed?!
  20. Lightning Seeds? Oh lucky you, popchartfreak!
  21. Looking forward to this! 2010 I remember a lot musically because of following the chart more online, music channels like 4Music and also I started listening to the radio more in this year.
  22. Bachman-Turner Overdrive
  23. 'Tease Me' was better I agree.
