  1. Its a political chart with Kneecap at #2 and Stella Lefty entering!
  2. To say Macy Gray - I Try was on the music channels a lot at the time is an understatement. Genie In A Bottle is a good #1. I really like Ann Lee Two Times, production is a bit Vengaboys but it is still good.
  3. That @Scene is iconic. The capital letter! If Go can chart and lead to more interesting dance tracks like it being created and charting that's great (Prospa and Anotr just not interesting enough in production for me).
  4. Great #1 'Right Here' is very nice too, good use of the sample.
  5. 'The Club is Alive' sampling The Sound of Music I cringed at at the time. But yeah JLS have better dance-R&B-pop later on in their career, 'Eyes Wide Shut' for example and 'She Makes Me Wanna' was a decent #1.
  6. Shape of Your Heart is very Westlife. Nostalgic though. Voted for Sov from Celebrity Big Brother.
  7. 'Release the Pressure' was better than the segment I have heard from this.....even if the screechy Fred Again style synth effect in the drop is not one of my faves. Production wise this song 'Satisfy' is like One Kiss which isn't one of my Calvin faves. However Jazzy has an endearing voice.
  8. I love Mr Vain, such a hard hitting track!

I'm only just getting over the overplay of the Jax Jones/MNEK rip-off version on radio a few years ago!
  10. and Oran 'Juice' Jones
  11. Children of the Universe made #23 in 2014. (And omg I just found she was in Stunt which had one of my fave #9 hits in 2008 (with Sash!) Raindrops (Encore Une Fois).
  12. Molly Smitten-Downes
  13. Must be a few from the 50s, 60s and 70s we have missed?!
  14. Lightning Seeds? Oh lucky you, popchartfreak!
  15. Looking forward to this! 2010 I remember a lot musically because of following the chart more online, music channels like 4Music and also I started listening to the radio more in this year.
  16. Bachman-Turner Overdrive
  17. 'Tease Me' was better I agree.
  18. Voted for 'Right Beside You', please try to make it popular on TikTok too, Buzzjackers, as its a bit forgotten and probably the best pop song of the 90s.
  19. 'The Key The Secret' is such a nice and nostalgic dance song. 'Living On My Own' Freddie revamp is good too.
  20. Popchartfreak mentioned the influence of 60s Northern Soul and that's big for Tracey Ullman's version of 'Breakaway'. It is very fast, fun and has some TikTok style dance moves in the video. I do though slightly disapprove of 60s and 70s nostalgia in the 80s a bit compared to the more modern synth records! 'Last Film' and 'Beat It' are good. I agree Altered Images (Don't Talk To Me About Love) and Belle Stars (Sign of the Times) do the female vocal indie-pop better than Tracie.
  21. 'Wishing I was Lucky' was a brilliant and unique sounding pop debut for Wet Wet Wet in 1987. 'Love Is All Around' is pleasant enough but was overplayed on radio/music channels. East 17 'Stay Another Day' is a nice song to hear at the festive season but I prefer 'If You Ever' as a ballad. I also like 'House of Love' and 'Let It Rain', the latter has one of those 90s eurodance rap verses that is so bad its good lol!

The best non top 40 top 50 hit of the 2010s for me along with The Strokes - Under Cover of Darkness and Jessie Ware - If You're Never Gonna Move (110%) It 's at #3 in the Big Top 40 which is cool, Capital should playlist it.
  23. Alex Warren's newie kind of flopping was not something I expected.
  24. I'm being basic but D.O.D x Hayley May - Closure because its a bit emotive and nostalgic.
  25. It was a great countdown. 'Bad Romance' is better than 'Poker Face', imo. The Rage Against The Machine #1 campaign was an iconic moment. Can some people do 2010 - 2015 please?! I think we should allow nostalgia up to 2015 now in this forum!
