The Gallup Years- Top 10 Sales- 1993
I quite like the reggae revival in the top 10! I like and remember the very Stevie Wonder influenced vocal improvisation part of the Jamiroquai track.

Round 1 : End Of Year Survivor #141
Oh dear not one of the best selections! I can't wait until we move on to 2010s end of year survivor! The Ashanti track is very nice and summery though, I did appreciate it when Aitch brought it back to the charts.

Lewis Capaldi - Stay Love
I would much rather he did a 2010s revival emotive dance song with Martin Garrix or somebody.

John v's 5th April 2026 charts - you might Lykke the number one a bit...
Dracula along with sombr's 12 to 12 are such good retro revival disco/new wave tracks with the falsetto vocal and dancefloor production. I'm a bit over them for now though due to too much airplay especially Dracula.

Julian rates every Top 40 hit: the 1980s edition
Heartache Avenue is very good and it got a second wind in 2005 after being used a lot as part of the Avenue by Roll Deep. Yeah the I Feel Love remix is interesting and it does go progressive rock in parts layer actually. Abba - Under Attack is quite good too and so is Cacharpaya.

Never really liked 'Beauty and a Beat' the verses are a bit poppy and weak, compared to other early 2010s 'club anthems'.

Holiday is quite good (Dizzee has better songs though) but yes the last bit of near trance is the best.

Jester ranks the number 1s of 1987
A bit of a sad listen. Aretha and George much missed :( Aretha obviously had the better voice of the two but George still sounds very good on this record.

Dance Track of the Week: Week 15
Voted for Awake Tonight with its over the top vocal, most over the top since Armin's ASOT anthem a few weeks ago. Voted for Bebe for the tie break.

That's a better Annie Lennox song than 'Why'. Glad 2 Unlimited maintained #1 over that rather forgotten Take That track.

China In Your Hand I never used to be a fan of but now I am, with the melodic complexity of the chorus particularly the 'they may come true you cannot help them' bit. Not a big fan of the saxophone solo near the end though.

Too Little Too Late by Jojo - the last chorus! I also like Sinead Quinn - I Can't Break Down

Chris Stussy feat. Tom Did It - Wide Awake
There are some euphoric synths in it which are very welcome.

So much Latin influenced music in top 10. Sing It Back I would say too!
