  1. I will predict FUFN, but your probably right, won't be enough pop voters for Jade to win.
  2. 'Exterminate' by Snap! is very melodic rave and trip hop, I really like it. Thanks for the 1992 rundown Gezza.
  3. Yeah I like the choruses deep and unusual key/melody reminds me a bit of Alanis Morissette's - Head Over Feet.
  4. Who is @TheChartSpark? The site looks like PaddyPower betting with the green branding!
  5. Misread it as Spice Girls x Mint Royale for a second there thought he was doing a remix! Well done anyway for their commemorative coin.
  6. A no to this one. It melodically reminds me of a Martin Solveig track from 10 years ago '+1' which was better and more interesting. Martin Solveig « +1 » (feat. Sam White) [Official Video]

I have heard of Ghetts, he was big at one point in the 2010s! Awful news and events. :(
  8. Phorever People is fab and while it may be a bit poppier than their other stuff it's a good precursor to the Eurodance trend of 1993-5. I like Gloria Estefan's upbeat songs! A house version of Dr Beat before Mylo in 2005. Also I just realised in November 1992, Felix - It Will Make Me Crazy narrowly missed out on top 10 at #11 - in production, it reminds me of Tomcraft Loneliness 11 years early! Great tune. I remember there were tracks from a Chris Brown album on iTunes about 10 years ago which accidentally credited all the writers and producers!
  10. 'Here In Your Arms' is a bit generic but a nice enough song that probably sounded better in the resorts! Yeah it seems like Nathan Dawe's last chart hit sadly. Ely Oaks kind of in the same category as Levi Heron with an unlikely hard dance hit. Blackpink also brought the genre back with the ending of 'Jump'. 'The Way I Love You' and 'Cops and Robbers' are good garage tunes, the former with a good bassline and the latter had a crazy violin sample which worked well.
  11. There are better drill songs but 'Phantom' is still quite memorable and catchy. 'Anxiety' felt like a big music moment of the year and Doechii is very critically acclaimed! I liked that Skye Newman "sweary version of Paloma Faith" style track 'FU and UF'! It's better than her new track "Walk" for me at the moment.
  12. Heart of Glass is good (didn't know it was their first synthy track though). Of course they would exceed it in terms of quality with 'Atomic' arguably. Yes you can hear the influence in tracks like Japan - Quiet Life (another 1979 track actually) and from early 1981, Duran Duran - Planet Earth and Kim Wilde - Kids In America obviously too! This became the normal 1981-1982 new wave/pop sound in the charts for a while (1981 I say because strangely 1980 actually didn't have much synthy new wave making the UK chart apart from Blondie - Atomic and then Spandau Ballet - To Cut A Long Story Short near the end of the year).
  13. I'm happy for Δ
  14. So it's the same as UK, broadcaster chooses the artist and song?!
  15. It's very catchy and has a good beat/bassline to it for pre-house 80s dance/dancepop! Even if Shannon was more innovative the year before. In comparison I find 'Like A Prayer' a bit too serious and intense nowadays especially with its video.
  16. Thought proper non-novelty rave was over but Out Of Space is a good hit for the Prodigy with more Jamaican influences for the vocal. I like Take That's version of Could It Be Magic better than the original. It definitely has both Hi-NRG and Northern Soul influences because producer Ian Levine is known for the two genres and also house influences because of the Rapino Brothers. Robbie Williams' verse vocal is good and refreshing to hear too! The WWE song is quite good.
  17. Omg Remember Monday - WTHJH?! Which is what you get when you cross Billy Joel - My Life with the band Stooshe!
  18. If only @Last Dreamer was still on here to give his opinions!
  19. 'You Make Me Feel' is fab as is Sylvester and Patrick Cowley's (pity they both died young :( ) later track 'Do You Wanna Funk' which recently appeared in the chart top 40 hits of the 80s thread on here. 'Wish You Well' is probably the best song for both Sigala and Becky Hill. Most of Sigala's other songs are too weak and poppy for me.
  20. Its unusual as its by Groove Armada but its not very dancey. Good summery song anyway!
  21. Great atmospheric vibes, one of the best dance songs of '98. It wears its EBTG, Todd Terry and Robert Miles influences (piano before the last chorus) well .
  22. '12 to 12' easily as it has a good dance groove to it - a better song to dance to than most of today's official electronic dance hits. I also like the early 80s new wave vibe of 12 to 12.
  23. At least they use what looks like Tracey Emin's bed in the video!
  24. 'Temptation' is very good. You could say the original was ahead of its time with its energy and 90s style female vocal. At least they used the original vocalists for the remix. Whitney's 'I Will Always Love You' is iconic but I don't listen to it that often.
