Total bangers not on streaming that DIDN'T get to #1
And for #2 singles the Shut Up and Dance Raving I'm Raving original version!

Round 3: Year End Survivor #114
That deadmau5/Kaskade song like a lot of deadmau5's music I find rather downbeat and takes its self too seriously. The 'Deepest Blue' and Deep Dish 'Say Hello' songs that may have inspired it earlier in the 00s are better. Having said that, I voted for P!nk.

The Drag Race Song Contest: Category is... RESULTS Eleganza Extravaganza!
Divina de Campo was a clever name at the time but its sort of been tarnished by the allegations of the chef it was inspired by.

Big Songs That Were Ineligible For The Charts
In 1992 Shut Up and Dance - Raving I'm Raving was ineligible during week 2 because of the uncleared sample hence its iconic 2-15-out chart run.

The Gallup Years- Top 10 Sales- 1989
I really like 'London Nights' - Pet Shop Boys influenced in the verses but in the big chorus, also a worthy precursor to Eurodance. 'It's Alright' is fab too. Quite Inner City - Good Life inflenced production-wise. The use of a crowd cheer before the final chorus in the studio version is like a precursor to rave.

The Gallup Years- Top 10 Sales- 1989
The D-Mob song sounds good! That Beautiful South song really sounds stylistically like it influenced 1992 Goodnight Girl era Wet Wet Wet! The lyrics are much better though! Nice song anyway!

Julian rates every 21st century Top 40 hit
I love that version of 'Do You See The Light'.
-
Clean Bandit & Tiesto feat. Leony - Tell Me Where You Go
Not the biggest fan of psytrance (prefer normal trance) but this sounds decent. Leona Lewis, Leon Jackson and now Leony!

Julian rates every 21st century Top 40 hit
I really liked that Mad'house song and its beats at the time when I heard it on the radio, I thought it was a remix, didn't know it was a cover or that the style of beats were from the song Black Legend - You See The Trouble With Me! ATC - Around The World was one eurodance song I did like at the time.

Forgot about that Whenever Wherever quote - its the kind of song quote that T*kT*k likes to make viral nowadays!
-
Calvin Harris & Clementine Douglas - Blessings
Finally worked out what the buildup synth reminded me of - 'Don't Give Up' by Chicane/Bryan Adams but not as intricate a melody sadly.

Voted for Blue and the harmonica solo. It is just more lively than Your Song.

The Gallup Years- Top 10 Sales- 1989
Back to Life is very good, the only dance hit of that top 10 surprisingly (although the Madonna track is dancey) and the best of that top 10 I think. I like I Drove All Night but prefer/am more used to Roy Orbison's version.

Armin van Buuren
Sounds decent enough.
