It depends what happens between Reform/Conservatives splitting the right wing vote. Am surprised the Tories are on only 2% less than Reform, maybe its temporary because Farage was in the news for the wrong reasons over funding.
  2. Maybe they should bring back Global Talent records it might liven the chart up a bit.
  3. It was quite a good cover and better than many of the other Christmas #1s in years around it.
  4. I was a big fan of Lick Ya Down their debut at the time and Explode was good too. But Twilight I wasnt a massive fan of. Its decent enough with an EDM-pop production as was common at the time. It's vocally a bit over poppy and over sweet for me though.
  5. And then I came and spoiled it all by saying something stupid like I was voting for Robbie and Nicole.
  6. This is pretty popular at the moment on Beatport and is certainly very good!
  7. Oh Buzzjack!
  8. I think we need a question mark reaction on Buzzjack. ❓
  9. Bee Gees - Massachusetts, a sad sounding song though.
  10. Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Two Tribes Howard Jones - Pearl In The Shell Spandau Ballet - Only When You Leave Bronski Beat - Smalltown Boy Alison Moyet - Love Resurrection The Bluebells - Young At Heart The Pointer Sisters - Jump (For My Love) The Style Council - You're The Best Thing 'Two Tribes' is pure dance-rock energy. One of Howard Jones best here, I prefer him to Nik Kershaw whom he sometimes gets confused for. Spandau Only When You Leave is one of their best! Smalltown Boy important track in terms of them and the production is good too. Alison Moyet - Love Resurrection always reminds me of Annie Lennox - Little Bird, both good songs! Bluebells Young At Heart is a nostalgic song from its revival in the 90s for me, but I usually prefer electronic songs in the 80s. Jump (For My Love) is good fun but a bit overplayed in media through its two versions. 'You're the Best Thing' is a lovely summery soul song from The Style Council. It reminds me of Lenny Kravitz - It Ain't Over Till Its Over.
  11. That is Capital Big Top 40 you are kind of referring to lol - it is more based on itunes sales and less streaming.
  12. I loved that song 'Radioactive' at the time! 'Ritual' in 2019 with Tiesto and Jonas Blue was quite good.
  13. The production gives me Regard (the guy behind Secrets/Ride It) vibes.
  14. I believe that someone in the great somewhere Hears every word (of Rein Me In) Elsewhere, I think I'm the only fan of Alyssa Grace - Bloodstream on Buzzjack its a great emotive song that hits hard and I'm not usually a fan of acoustic folk. Moving To The Sun is a new dance track in the chart at least but the production is too basic for me mostly just a beat and vocal. I'm bored of the other dance songs now especially 'Talk To You'.

I like and remember Ultrabeat Feelin' Fine (up on Cloud Number 9) - yeah definitely the vocal channeled that Bryan Adams song!
  16. I believe that someone in the great somewhere Hears every word (aaah aaah)
  17. Still prefer More Than A Feeling.
  18. Definitely Make A Move On Me more remembered that other Joey N/Taka Boom song. I like 'Move Your Body' by Eiffel 65 and in 2016 Sia and Alan Walker brought the vibes back with a very similar style of dance on the chorus of their excellent Move Your Body (Alan Walker remix) track:
  19. 'How We Do' was a disappointment for me after I quite liked RIP's dubstep production. The only slight interest for me was how radio stations would censor it. 'Little Things' chorus sounds like a bank advert soundtrack tbh very MOR.
  20. Strawberry Switchblade

Excellent with the retro chart you should go up to 2012 when choosing years not just 1999- 2001.
  22. 2016 was the slowest year for the UK chart and this year has been nearly as slow :(
  23. Robbie Williams - It's Great To Be A Cat
  24. Indeed, the drop of the song is so basic! Bring back interesting drops in dance hits.
