It sounds like Hannah Diamond PC Music from back in the day but with depressing lyrics.
  3. Not a fan really. The vocal is very good but the production is very basic, basically just a beat.
  4. No, Blue for 2001! All rise!
  5. Hazell Dean and Evelyn Thomas both with good hits from the revitalised hi-NRG genre. Certainly a bit cooler than 1988 Stock Aitken Waterman hi-NRG. Dancing with Tears In My Eyes is a sad song lyrically but the vocal tries not to be too downbeat in style which I prefer.
  6. They should save the Yellow for 2000!
  7. Radio 2 a few years ago did a chart of the best selling Motown label records of all time, Let Me Love You was top 5 and must have sounded jarring after the more retro orchestral songs in the list. I agree 'Coming With You' is a cooler Ne-Yo track and more reflective of his Motown label.
  8. Let Me Love You is kind of a throwback early 00s eurotrance production from Stargate but with the beat not as hard in places. I didn't appreciate that production in the 00s but did like in 2012. I wasn't a massive fan of the vocal of the song such as the strained chorus but it is nostalgic now as with most Ne Yo.

The 'Eternal Flame' copy I prefer to the overplayed original!
  10. 'Domino' is preferable to 'Price Tag'. 'Laserlight' was like a Clubland Flip and Fill 2003 production!
  11. Along with David Guetta/Andrea Bocelli/Megan Thee Stallion - More Than A Game but it didn't do anything on streaming lol!
  12. Lightning Seeds 'Pure' and 'Lucky You' are great. Scouting For Girls 'Heartbeat' sounds very influenced by 'Pure'. The Beautiful South bring back good memories. Snap! were good. 'Welcome To Tomorrow' is good but also unfortunately like a cooler precursor to some of the cheesy 2004 Clubland stuff eg. Flip and Fill - Discoland etc.
  13. Yeah it reminds me of the attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband (who was lucky to survive), awful.
  14. It fitted in with the dubstep sound of the time, and I certainly much preferred R.I.P. to the very poppy follow up.

Radio 1 censored 'Gelato' In Tiesto and Ava Max - The Motto I remember. Gelato means ice cream!
  16. Stray Cats - Stray Cat Strut
  17. Harry Chapin - Cat's in the cradle
  18. The Cure - The Lovecats Tom Jones - What's New, Pussycat?
  19. RIP I really liked because of the dubstep production. Didn't know much the Chase and Status Nneka remix it sampled at the time so thought it was a new composition. Zara Larsson Midnight Sun reminds me of Tulisa - Young in terms of production a bit. Good production. But 'Young' was a bit poppy for me at the time.
  20. Dr Mabuse is epic Gothic synthpop. I have known it for a long time, discovered it a long time ago on an 80s music channel. Shannon Give Me Tonight is great and I sent it to a Club Bizarre contest on Buzzjack dance forum. Nik Kershaw's Dancing Girls hasn't aged well lyrically but I like the production of the song. The Reflex is a bit of a mess and rockier from Duran but it has a good chorus. The Pointer Sisters Automatic is nice enough but very poppy for me. Elsewhere, Jocelyn Brown is a name we will know more from the 90s!
  21. It sounds way more U2 than Martin Garrix.

    Corrected it for you! :)
  23. Camelphat/Josh - So Good rips off Eric Prydz - Pjanoo too much lol.
  24. Yeah I am getting lots of Hugel on my tiktok feed but not pupsies.
