So this is out now and it actually sounds a bit different that the clips teased in their performances and social media clips to the point that I dunno how I feel about it now.

BBC Radio 1 Most Played 2024 It's 2025 and as tradition, when the new year begins, it's The annual look at the most played on BBC Radio 1 in 2024 by songs and artists and the year's overall statistics. As usual, I used the Radio 1 Last.fm page to be able gather the data which can be searched publicly. The numbers cover a 24hr/365-day period from the 1st January-31st December meaning live shows, repeats and simulcasts with Radio 1Xtra, Radio 1 Anthems and Radio 1 Dance are included. Some songs and artists numbers will be combined because they may have been listed as a separate song or artists and some things like live performances of their songs or an official remix that they are pushing as their main release will also be included though not all remixes will be combined. I will mention where I combined songs or artists figures for transparency. As ever with technology, there may be missing or inaccurate data due to issues with a play not being recorded or technical issues with the scroller but hopefully I can present a good enough reflection of what the data shows.
