I know what I’m here for and it’s to track the new James album for the rest of the week.

The iTunes chart is based on the last 24 hours not 1 hour and is a rolling chart so getting to #100 of sales are as low as 20 u would get roughly 140 sales in a week assuming it stays at around a similar position for the rest of the week but I think #100 is more or less around 40 sales per day which even that isn’t enough to impact the chart if it continues to get similar sales for the rest of the week and chances the single won’t stay around long

I wish that only singles were allowed and that album tracks could only count towards the album chart not the singles at all.
  5. Does anyone know why interest in Ed Sheeran’s track from the TFIOS soundtrack has increased

This is kind of off-topic, but I feel this was the only thread appropriate to ask this. I am looking for radio 1 top 40 recordings specifically from the years 1998-2002 during the later Mark Goodier years. And I am wondering if anyone knows any place I can find these or if somebody can send me some of they have any or just where I can find them.
  8. 113 forgot some very obvious ones and a load of album tracks but I am pleased with myself as I ignore album tracks
  9. Very interesting formula, I bet a lot of hard work has gone in to this, will look forward to this
  10. The least they could do is allow only singles which are released separately such as songs which have had a separate release before the album, promo singles, instant grats, remix EPs, radio release or music video release it’s not that hard to determine whether it’s a single or not

Get Messy was heavily aided by pre orders and being held back which is why there was an instant reaction and a quick fall, a very quick fall
  12. Also lower down the chart is a new entry by an artist who has impacted only YouTube known as geko
  13. I find that a bit weird as well, it’s no where to be seen on the options on the website. But if u google search it should come up
  14. “Don’t let someone from JLS tell u otherwise” LLOOOOOOLOOLOLOLOLLLL!!!!
  15. So annoyed that Youngblood, Rise and Girls Like You have failed to make the top 10
  16. The following week tracking starts today
  17. Can’t believe it!!! So happy for this making the top 40 (Nevermind). Finally some more dance tracks in the top 40.
  18. I feel like Scott Mills is very interactive with the artists which I like. Also would Ring Ring be considered a dance track or more of a pop or urban record

  20. Is this affecting the chart published and aired this Friday?
  21. I hope that we will be suprised and that shotgun will be number 1 and then I’ll go and check out the daily charts throughout the past week to see how it became of this possibility, However it seems very unlikely that shotgun will be number 1 as its very likely to be solo
  22. Can somebody explain who “Jasmine Sandlas” is because a single by the named artist was on the top 100 a few days ago and is still on the top 1000, I haven’t had a listen to it so I don’t know why it could be getting sales.
  23. Someone suggest to radio 1 to do a full top 40 countdown. Preferably with a revamped version of “At the Sign of the Swinging Cymbal”. Nevermind I’m asking for too much already.
  24. What happened to a 3 hour chart show with “chart related content” in the final hour????
