  3. Thank you for this explanation someone else explained some of these reasons too but I felt like it wasn’t complete until you mentioned release dates I feel like this may have been what I was looking for, do you happen to know what day they were released on before may 1995 (singles, that is)

    I think that every single that I owned I paid at least 2.99 for them or more even in the first week and I’d usually purchase in the first week I never noticed anything cheaper unless they were in bargain bins

  7. How can I forget them few weeks in late 2013 when every week there were at leat 3 new entries in the top 10 for a good 4/5 weeks

  9. I’ve actually literally just found that link on the internet of a less than ten minute recording of the top 5 (with the songs cut off, only intros and outros) and all the mark goodier commentary within the top 5 and the countdown and a chat with Cher on the phone

Alanis Morissette - Thank You And another week in early 99 where seven new entries were in the top 10 (I think this may have been the first time that there were seven new entries in the top ten (I may be wrong)) Some songs in the top ten were Elton and LeAnn Rimes’ colab, Shawn Mullins - Lullaby, Cardigans with Earse/Rewind; a few others and Britney Spears’ second week at the top defeating blur with tender

Also: Breach - Jack Karmin - Brokenhearted Stevie McCrorie - Lost Stars Lemar - The Way Love Goes And a lot of glee singles And also when Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds went back in to the top 10 in 2010 (not the fact that it was forgotten because it was a huge hit in the 90s but most people won’t remember it went back in to the top 10.
  17. Take that these days surprised me because I didn’t check the releases that week nor was I updated with the midweeks or iTunes Charts so when I heard that they went number 1 I had to update my knowledge

There’s a lot of forgotten top 10s from 2010-2013, recent ones include walk on water, and also some earlier ones are outlines, promesses, you got it all (Union J) (most Union J songs), John Newman - Cheating, The Saturdays (cant remember what it’s called debuted same week as cheating), the wanteds later singles, Lawson’s singles, GRL - wild wild love (how many remember this?), avicii, leona Lewis - collide, Leona Lewis & childish gambino single, can’t stop playing (makes me high), don’t look down by usher, nasty pixie Lott.... and many more
