  1. I'm really interested how Stay will perform in the long run. It's a nice song, but not as good as Diamond. It's also the second most "chart friendly" song from her new album as far as I can tell (well maybe third after Nobody's Business, but it will be a brave move to release that)
  2. Apparently Kylie is performing Cant Get you out of my Head
  3. How did the Jamiroquai song do after his performance?
  4. I think the Kylie performance will help the album more than the single
  5. Kylie did Can't Get You Outta My Head for Italian X Factor last night
  6. As long as it's not Read All About It...that song has been done to death
  7. I hope Emeli does Heaven - it's her best track, but seems to have been forgotten as it is so different to the rest of her album. I assume Kylie will be doing On a Night Like This (Abbey Road)
  8. I do find it strange that Rita Ora is on the final. She's had some successful singles, but the album has sold 150k and will probably go platinum at best.
  9. Kylie's performance is likely to boost sales of the Abbey Road album, rather than the song she is performing. On A Night Like This didn't even get into the top 200 iTunes after her Royal Variety Performance
  10. I wonder how much a song like Santa Baby has sold in total. It's never peaked in the top 75 (as far as I know), and sells maybe 4-5k a year? Which would put it on about 25k (given that it has been charting for a few years now). It would be interesting to find out the song that has sold the most copies, but never charted in the top 75.
  11. But the article says it is her new single.

  13. Next Rihanna single is Pour it Up. Be interesting to see how it does. It doesn't sound terribly chart friendly
  14. I saw the Tulisa album in HMV today (in the 2 for £15 offer). I guess this was put out by mistake, as it's not on itunes?
  15. The Stooshe album has been pushed back to March next year
  16. I do think that people are underestimating McFly. In the last year they have had huge exposure from things like Strictly and I'm a Celebrity. By obviously won't go to number 1 but I imagine it will be a sizeable hit
  17. I'm so happy they are getting rid of Vernon Kaye. And I've never really listened to Reggie Yates, but his Olympic commentary was dire. "80s pop group Pet Shop Boys..." etc
  18. They need to get Kylie on - but it will never happen!

I'm interested to see how JLS do - they aren't even top 40 on amazon and are 22 on iTunes

    Deleted
  21. There is an article in the Sun about how Radio 1 are snubbing Robbie. Funny they didn't notice when it was Kylie, Madonna etc

They didn't playlist Only the Horses. I think the last SS song they premiered was Fire with Fire

True, but her back catalogue doesn't sell albums anymore! Her Greatest hits earlier this year missed the top 10

Given that Calvin has 6 top 3 hits on his album, it will be a bit of a turn up if he is beaten to no 1 by Kylie, who has Flower which is somewhere at the bottom of the top 200.

Does anybody know how the album chart works? Are pre-orders added to total when the album is actually released, which would explain Kylie's boost to no 1.
