  1. My webstore vinyl bundle has been delayed until November too.
  2. 300 - 350k. Now we need an Abba album prediction thread to complete the trilogy of albums that are going to dominate the album chart for the foreseeable future.
  3. I don’t think including streaming would mean that newer albums were included on the list anyway. When was the last time a female artist did 2million sales even with streaming included?
  4. Is the 5.4m for Adele in the US a one day record too?
  5. Easy on Me no 1 now.
  6. Jesy down to no 2 - I thought it would be no 1 a bit longer given the fan base.
  7. Turns out there is also a new Ronan Keating album out on the 12th, I have no idea if he still charts well though.
  8. Ed’s last album (divide) did 41k from streaming on week 3 and 206k overall. I guess this one will do less, but it’s difficult to call between him and Abba.
  9. The dark horse is really Rod Stewart. On Wikipedia it looks like his last album opened with 41k. It looks like he has 2 vinyls variants and a cd of this one so who knows what he’ll sell.
  10. Fearless opened with 21k and looks like she’s done around another 4k on vinyls released this week, so I’d say Red won’t open with much more than 25k. Little Mix have released a million formats but the single flopped so I’d say a similar amount for them, maybe 30k? I have no idea about Kylie, with only 3 different formats, only a month of preorders and it being a rerelease. My prediction is: 1. Abba 2. Ed 3. Rod Stewart 4. Little Mix 5. Kylie 6. Taylor.
  11. Spotify numbers don’t seem to have updated for about 5 days now on the actual desktop app. I hope they sort it out soon.
  12. On Friday I would have said the same about Spotify putting them on Hot Hits U.K. so who knows what will happen. I’m also really curious to see how the 80,000 stack up against the preorders for the new Ed album.
  13. The Abba album now has more than 80,000 preorders which is insane. Radio stations like Capital and Radio 1 can’t just…ignore them can they? https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/a...-voyage__33967/
  14. Where was it announced?
  15. Lana del Rey has surprise dropped 3 songs.
  16. Do any of them have vinyl released next week? That might make the difference.
  17. Real Groove re-entered the UK singles chart at #97! It sold 4,734 copies [3,410 vinyl / 1,086 streaming / 238 downloads]. Total sales stand at 47,271.
  18. iain posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
I’m a bit confused by the eligibility criteria. Billie and Cardi B both nominated despite not releasing an album during the year? Is it just based on any release now? If that’s the case won’t the same artists just clog up the same categories year in and year out? I mean I guess both Cardi B and Billie will be nominated again next year as they’re both probably releasing albums this year.
  19. It’s odd that none of the Justin Bieber deluxe songs charted in the top 200, especially as most of the original album is still there a week later.
  20. Lana has 6 or 7 vinyl variants, multiple cassettes and cds, with strong streams I think she’ll take the no 1.
  21. I mean this thread should probably be retitled “which artists have we lost to streaming as they don’t get put on popular playlists” because that’s the main reason many of the artists mentioned don’t get top 40 hits anymore.
  22. The original Real Groove did 72k and the remix 95k. I’m not surprised given the low key release, I expect it will do better today given it’s on some playlists.
  23. Other than Justin Bieber, are there any potentially big albums for the start of next year? There’s nothing scheduled as far as I can see, and most big streaming acts released albums this year by the look of it (Gaga, Taylor x 2, Dua, Ariana etc).
  24. Playlists may not dictate the specific order that songs appear on the charts, but unless you’re on a popular Spotify playlist it’s unlikely you’re going to chart at all outside novelty songs.
  25. With Christmas Eve being on a Thursday this year, are they just going to average Thursdays streams for the chart on Friday? I imagine streaming Christmas songs on Thursday will be massive.
