  1. It depends when they finished the album. They may be able to get some cds out in time for release, but I think it’s highly unlikely vinyl will come on release week.
  2. Little Mix up to 5, Kylie (still combined) at no 6.
  3. For the Spotify charts, do they combine different edits of the same song? Kylie’s Magic got just over 300k streams yesterday (across both versions), and I was wondering if those would be split between the 2 versions when looking at the charts. She would need 53k to get into the U.K. top 200 yesterday, and I can easily imagine that at least a fifth of her total would be U.K. streams.
  4. I honestly don’t think it’s clear cut at all. Little Mix have the advantage of being big physical sellers, on all the major Spotify playlists, blanket radio play across networks and a tv show. Kylie has physicals and Radio 2 and hopefully some tv promo. The odds are really in favour of Little Mix.
  5. November 6th is now a 3 way battle between Little Mix, Kylie and Paloma Faith.
  6. Magic is now 3, 4 and 57. Lots of fans held out to today to buy it to help with the charts which is why it’s rising.
  7. Kworb has updated and Kylie combined is 140% of no. 1.
  8. The livepopbar numbers are very different to Kworb (Miley on 62.5 on lpb and 93.2 on kworb). Is LivePopBars more reliable?
  9. Anyway, I hope Kworb has a proper update soon, as Magic is currently no 3, 10 and 41 which would put it at no 1 based on the % from an hour ago.
  10. Why would they release it on a Thursday then when all the hardcores will download it today and it will be meaningless towards the charts?
  11. Kylie is now 3, 11 and 38 - this has got to be at least no 2 combined.
  12. Magic at no 12, 18 and 40. That would put Kylie at around no. 3 from the kworb bars from 2 hours ago.
  13. We’re looking at these numbers through a 2020 lens when these would be huge numbers, both first week and total sales. The fact that X came in at no. 4 behind Shayne Ward‘s second album, of all people is really telling. It was billed as the biggest comeback of the year and spent 2 weeks in the top 10. Similarly, Body Language spent one week in the top 10 following the massive success of Fever (which spent 20 weeks in the top 10). Neither were huge flops, but they definitely underperformed compared to what people were expecting.
  14. It’s a bit frustrating that Kylie could have been no 1 in the last couple of weeks (and the next few weeks looking at the release schedule bar any surprise releases) pretty much on those presales alone, but she may have to settle for no 2 or lower in November. I guess they’re more interested in total sales leading up to Christmas.
  15. It will be close though it always seems that when Kylie is “expected” to do well she never really does. Like Body Language semi-flopped at no 6 after Fever was a global phenomenon, X underperformed when there was such immense goodwill and hype for her comeback and Kiss Me Once flopped during her stint on the Voice. She seems to perform best when she’s the underdog, like for Golden and Light Years.
  16. Steps are no 1 now.
  17. Updated Sales: Golden: 156,423 Step Back In Time: 124,479 https://www.musicweek.com/labels/read/can-k...co-album/080856
  18. It’s been fixed now, the acoustic version is at no 8 and the original at no 32. That’s quite high for an acoustic version!
  19. On the feed on the app on my phone.
  20. The acoustic version of Say Something is showing at 9 with the original at 7. Anybody know what’s going on?
  21. Hallucinate is A listed on Radio 1, Radio 2 and Capital. It’s not a low key release. The only thing obviously holding it back is lack of Spotify support.
  22. It didn’t return to the top 200. the only other song from Golden that made it into the top 200 was Lifetime to Repair which was high up in New Music Friday on the day Golden was released, but that also disappeared the next day.
  23. A new Taylor Swift album is coming tonight.
  24. Oh wow a new Taylor Swift album is coming tonight.
  25. Kylie is no 2 and 17. Hope she can get to no 1 it will be her first iTunes no 1 single. Dancing got to like 99% on Kworb before falling back.
