  1. Shallow me likes Robbie with hair. I hope that l hope all the projects will fall in places
  2. I understood that they wanted to have a younger guitarist after Close Encounter. I never read about a fall out with Neil (yes, disappointment) like with Chris Sharrock. I also think that Neil and Gary Nuttal and Jerry kept a bond. With Rob you never know. His friendships pop up, vanish, pop up again. Aside of this Rob has been on vacation or under the radar the entire year. I think there will be the launch of the new app/website this year and nothing else. he has prepared everything for next year and the year after. Looking at the competition this Christmas he might have done it right. I wonder if the biopic will go through. And the concerts. They posted on FB that half of the tickets are sold (last week). If he comes up with all what he has indicated he can be lucky and sell the 150,000
  3. I think that he will do well with the album. Many huge names will bring out a Christmas single. But TT and Gary have a fanbase granting quite a success. Personally I am not a fan of Christmas albums and not because of Christmas. I always see it a yearly Cash machine the artist hopes to have if it is successful. I said the same when Rob did his Christmas album. It was then surprisingly non-Christmassy good. I hope the same for Gary's album.
  4. I think Gary fits a Christmas album very well, as person and as singer. He will do very well
  5. I like to read the comments to Candy every other month as it seems to be a hit on tiktok, Yougsters wondering about thus RW and others starting remembering the song
  6. I guess this is in preparation of what will come in 2022 with (hopefully) the movie, album, concerts
  7. That sounds good especially considering that there was almost no promotion outside Robbie world (I know off). With some more months to go he will sell quite some more
  8. I have the feeling he will keep very low profile this year. In the last months his non-availability on anything else than Ayda's instagram was brought down to Covid, Now everyone comes up with a new album, announcement of a tour.....maybe form this PoV it is good that he does not go into competition with Adele, Coldplay, Abba, Taylor Swift. I think he is in the moment resetting anything for next year............or for nothing at all and he accepts that he needs a decade to come back huge
  9. It is amazing to see this phenomenon every few years. Madonna, Pink, in some way Robbie, Justin Timberlake, One direction, BTS But this was all pre social media. These days people are hyped different. I am still trying to get what anybody can like about the kardashians. And it is always a certain role: Alternative mental health young = Billie Eilish A bit older and Feminist = Beyoncé Good boy next door who is now also trying to introduce some edges is Ed Sheeran And the good girl next door who is all Hollywood now and lost half her weight based on ....work out (?) with the same story telling hitting 30plussers most is Adele. This does not say anything about their work. There are some Sheeran songs I really like, the same for Adele 1D etc. But the over hype the social media are giving people is dangerous and also partly nervy. I have put my alerts off I have hoping of Rob news. I am wondering if Rob would be famous these days. Maybe the overhype would kill him social media does. This is something I admire with Adele, she seems still to be quite normal. And all above is only my opinion. I hope that Rob somehow can return to music in some way successful as I do not think he is the man for average. But somehow I have the feeling he lost the right timing. For me that will mean that I will like this or that in music but not be a 'fan' of a person anymore :-)
  10. I always think that Adele is a good character. Her permanently using bad relationships/experiences and creating songs again and again on the same topic is not mine. They all sound alike. Different to Pink's songs. And seeing all mostly women reacting with their tweets and streaming shows that it must hit a nerve. Each to them own.
  11. What do you think about Adele's new song? I wonder how many songs you can make of break up :-). If you are on the height of your imperial phase if you serve what fans made fans of you it is an immediate success I guess
  12. Christmas albums are not want fans like to have. When Robbie did his I was also not happy. It turned out a good album. I am sure Gary's will be great as a Christmas/swing/jazz album and also quite successful. He has a long career. This is a missing until now.
  13. I understand where you are coming from, Laura and sure I agree with the quality of music. But....it is also about success. If you are not successful and I am not speaking Adele success or Ed Sheeran success, I speak the success of a legend like Tom Jones or Elton John he would deserve if you look at the blockbusters of his career and his talent he did a lot of things which went at the end against him: he released swing albums again, great, but at the end this does not work like 2001, he released quite a good Christmas album and destroyed the success single handedly by a Christmas show where he played as if he was young Robbie and he is now middle aged Robbie, he did the coronaoke for the fans he has anyways. The only bit what made the general news during Covid was that him being interested in the conspiracy stuff. At least in Germany that cost him quite some fans. For the general public he has no social media, no widely known activities since Hyde Park nothing to be interested in if it is not the look of the young wild like 15 years ago. This is the problem I see. Either he decides to be a niche singer on his own terms like Sting and comes back in ten years again or he wants to be relevant and competing with the youngsters then he has to adapt to the rules. Not adapting to rules is ok if you are on top. But he is not. And if you want to sell 150,000 tickets then you have to do something for people coming back or stay with 8,000 people venues. This is what hurts me as a fan. I do not want the concert to be cancelled. I do not want to read helene Fischer sells in 24 hours and Rob not in months. Get me right I like him also less successful. If he wants to be relevant tough for the general public I think he lacks strategy and acts not consistent. With the movie coming up he might be in the news next year. But who knows if this will really happen? I think he deserves more then being what he seems to be now.
  14. Laura you are right but this has dramatically changed. Since maybe Rudebox he lost his guts to try something. You can step away for long if you are till on top which he isn't. If you are not a Robbie fan and not follow Ayda there was only one topic which made the press: The interview with this conspiracy theorist Anna Brees. Liam has the advantage to be rock rather than pop. in pop Ed Sheeran and the youngsters are too strong for Robbie having a place at the top still by staying away from the public. Humans need the feed these days otherwise they change to the next more accessible star. And with his talents I think this is sad.
  15. could be Alex and I think he will do Knebworth with the 20 year anniversary, but what do I know. he must have a plan. Do you have an idea how they pay these venues? Sold tickets or a lumpsum?
  16. this is what I meant some weeks ago I do not understand: he is not doing anything people outside his fan base see. And even what he des is on Ayda's insta. For me Robbie has become the forgotten star and as he is so good it is sad. During his imperial days he could do that. He could stay away for two years and comes back stronger like Adele is even able to do for 6 years. But does he realize that these years are gone? Yes, next year the movie will make some headlines, but how many stars have a biopic now. So he always waits until he is not the first anymore and plays save. I always think 'I hope he does something' and then he does and I fear he will not sell out the concert. Liam by the way has added a second day in Knebworth. Maybe 2023 for Rob....
  17. There was a show with Helene Fischer announced some weeks ago at the same place and she sold 100,000 tickets. It is special German music and she is the hugest German speaking star. I see some discussions online if Rob will still sell 150,000 tickets. What do you think?
  18. I am surprised, whatever it is I would not have expected something for this year: More tickets for Bonn? Some concerts in Berlin with his rave music? An award? Guest in the one off Wetten Dass show this year?
  19. So I read that Liam G. is playin Knebworth next year. Smart move. People are so hungry for concerts he will easily sell several nights. Ed Sheeran will be next. Would there be a chance for Rob's jubilee? or will he say I did it and that is enough?
  20. This year everyone with a huge name is bringing out an album from ABBA to Elton John. He will not invest in this as he would be chanceless to get another no 1. Next year if all will go well he has already two concerts scheduled, there will be the film which seemed already to been bought by several countries, so he will think this is the time for the dance album and the art first and a real album to the end of the year hoping that the vibe will increase with the right promotion. 2021 I don't think we see something aside instagam post of the next vacation
  21. I see that you are very likely right in anything especially the patience :-)
  22. Do you think something is 'going on'? Far more instagram posts of Ayda, especially with selfies also of herself. Maybe she will do some beauty campaign soon?
