Robbie on social media
elisabeth1974 posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI wonder still what dJing means for him. Howard or Paris style? He needs to push forward with the record if he ever wants to do one, otherwise the 80 and disco revival is over

Robbie: Daily News
elisabeth1974 posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatThe blogs, great time. I did a string of communication trainings before Corona with groups of highly educated engineers and technicians. Most of them 35 years younger or 50 plus. One of the ice breakers was 'what music do you like?' The older ones were in Heavy and Black Metal, etc, the younger were like nothing special liking a variety of music. One mentioned he really likes Robbie Williams. There was no laughter or something, not that people must be fans but there was quite an acceptance. What surprised me though was the answer to my question which book they have read last. Long there was nothing (not only with the youngsters). They were scratching with their feet and I thought because being embarrassed. But it was more that they felt embarrassed for me asking this question. "We read reports from time to time, but books?" All in all I did the training to 120 people and this was the reaction of the vast majority. Why do I write this here :-) I think that Ayda and Rob want to target people outside of the 40+ year old fan base and they do not necessarily read blogs. They like podcasts, instagram, snapchat and these filter plays I think are so strange. (I generalize now). I am not sure if this will work out. I think it would if Rob would still be in his imperial phase, but who aside of fans are interested in what he thinks? At least this is what I feel.

Robbie: Daily News
elisabeth1974 posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI think the same. I could not watch through any of the instas or listen entirely to any of the podcasts. The serious bits are quite interesting. However I would not get the point why I would use my time for the banter or what you call it. Sometimes I think it is the age. I also dislike all these reality shows or formats like Love ISland etc. When the adverts pop up I know this is nothing I ever want to watch. Many people like it though. I am not sure if Ayda fits in any category of what people like to see these days, not the serious and not the trash ones. They want to extend the Podcasts clearly beyond the Robbie fan base. But I don't think this will happen: Rob's fans are not interested/young/hard core enough anymore and for non fans ...who of the target generation is interested in Robbie Williams or less Ayda? He should work on his music and TV format and get a real haircut. Hairdressers are open in LA again (This is my shallow wish). And Ayda may be able to start as a producer or do something she can use her intelligence aside being a mum of 4. I wonder how many helpers the family has and had also during the Corona times :-). But hey ho. Rob likes to still support this and sometimes makes himself ridiculous. I do not have to watch.

Album release - The Christmas Present
elisabeth1974 posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI am not really following this, but what I hear from the news pop ups Lady Gaga's album is doing quite well? If the name is huge enough and promotion not that important to sell records the artists might be ok. What will 'hurt' more is the missing touring and the money coming with this.

elisabeth1974 posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatThis is really sweet. I like Liam's tweet and I hope that Rob will stop his 'feud teases' even if it is only banter. Carry on and make a charity single together :-)

Take That and Robbie Reunite
elisabeth1974 posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI am not sure if I missed something but isn't it a short set list? Do we assume that Rob will sing on all TT songs, or only the 4 he had been involved in from TT first time around and TT Progress time?

Robbie: Daily News
elisabeth1974 posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI think that the article might we typical tabloid style, but that there is a core of truth. He is a realist when it comes to business. he knows that the imperial days are over. He might have a hit here and there again like the oldies often have some years in. However, he also knows that despite his long career he is not on the legend level. He was always too mainstream for that. To keep it going he has to explore new fields and he has the connections, the ideas if it is Simon Cowell or John de Mol and also the financial connections and connections to the studios. If he wants it he can do it. The idea must be good. I saw a bit of this podcast with the ex-army whatever he stands for guy (part 2) when Rob told him that he still worries about money and that he is striping away what is not important to have 'I am still this guy from Stoke'. Good move, however interesting to hear from a guy who is worth 185 million pounds according to the Sunday Times Rich list 2020. I think that there is something about what I read about one of once Germany's richest men (Friedrich Flick): he always feared to loose his billions and the more you are not born in it the more this is the case.

Podcasts & YT Live Performances
elisabeth1974 posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI had an alert yesterday about the new Sunday Times Rich list musicians. Rob is listed there with 185million pounds (who knows the correct figures). Anyway he added 10 million in 2019. He had the Christmas album, but I think aside of Hyde Park there were no huge concerts. They expect most musicians income will fall flat this year. I wonder about this either, he cannot even do concerts for billionaires (neither can others)

Robbies Coronaoke sessions

Podcasts & YT Live Performances
elisabeth1974 posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take Thatyou know the problem with working from home is that you loose any sense of time especially if companies are international and you work with Asia and the US. Fridays the team of about 25 people have a team meeting which started - go on mute - in the past. Now everyone knows :-). You hear the cats, the dogs, the children and too be allowed this general remark in the Robbie and TT thread, at least I can have the music in the background :-)

Podcasts & YT Live Performances
elisabeth1974 posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI only watched the beginning. Rob said that his family goes through a difficult time. If I understand correct he said that his father (!) has Parkinson and his mother in law is very ill. I thought that Gwen had Parkinson? Maybe I did not understand well. And Janet will be 80 soon

Robbies Coronaoke sessions
elisabeth1974 posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take Thatthis was one of the best corona-okes. I never have time and patience to watch it entirely, this one I did, songs I like a lot and are underrated like She is Madonna and some interesting facts about his solo career. And I learned about how you pronounce Ibiza in English. I always said it somehow Dutch and wondered about what island he was talking :-)

Our Listening Club
elisabeth1974 posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI agree, the same in NL and Germany. Rob's songs a well feel songs (not all, but many). They also show regularly bits from his corona-oke sessions in TV. It is surprising that 30 years in business his actions are still worth a news. Some days ago his session with Gary made an entire article in one of Germany's most valued weekly broad sheets. The female thirtysomething author - I assume a TT and Rob fan - said that you could see why backthen Gary and Rob did not go on so well still now: Gary with conservative T-shirt and good haircut, Rob as if he just run away from jail (all funny and nicely meant) I like a bit of Robbie more than usual in these days
