I liked the AOL session....... but I would so love to hear some new music :-(

We had a round table discussion yesterday about women in leading positions. Women attending have been 35-55, all working full time and also mothers and with or without partner. All of them said that they are very more relaxed having both working and family life. All of them went back to full time work as soon as possible and all of the would not stop working even with a jackpot. Now I think about Ayda who is definitely a smart woman, handsome. I see that she learns Turkish which is great. Aside of this I see her doing sports, sports, sports. I don't know if they have nanny's now, but normally they have helpers. Why can she not do something which is adequate to her smartness? I don't think of a perfume empire or fashion, but social work, or go back working as a lawyer after some refreshers.

maybe in the same way like all of us? I don't know about the rules in Switzerland but think they have less restrictions than in the Netherlands. I also wonder if Teddy and Charlie attend school. I also wonder if he already needs something to do for the movie...and I wonder how his band is doing...

The book was interesting as it describes the band members quite well and Rob's relationship to Claire and Gary but also to Josie and David etc.

When Robbie mentioned the projects and also included movie I was not expecting this. But I remember that at one of the talks he said he would also play in one and it would be dark. Do you think he refers to this movie? I think if they do it right it has huge potential and when the budget is anywhere near what I read then they will also do a good media campaign

it might first go to Rob's core markets Also Australia and possibly they hope that then it will spark general interest like the Greatest Showman did. I never saw the film but I understand it is about the Barnum circus, I mean who would want to see this story and nevertheless it was very successful. let's have the fingers crossed. When I read the article I understood that the film is already sold in Rob's core market without they even started filming?

well there was a show in Germany (we could see in the Netherlands) which had the live bands of this time as guests like T-Rex, Sweet, Middle of the Road or also David Essex and this was shown always in what is called 'cult nights'. I wonder that none of these songs are played anymore and all of the guys ended badly (according to wiki which I read then) :-) I also saw Joan Baez lately whom I liked to listen too after I heard her singing in a sci-fi movie I do not remember. Few remember her, everyone knows Bob Dylan. I like to read this stuff :-)

I see that wherever possible people try to get their old live back sometimes no matter what it might cost.....but agree Laura if he will do the album not as a UTR like tease only it will not happen this year. Unfortunately the year after everyone will go on tour.

I wonder about Robbie reading about Alistair Crowley..... quite a thing. He by the way lived in one of the Houses in the part where Robbie lives in London now.

Why should Guy be involved, Laura? because he was part of the story or because of the music? I don't think that it will be all about music as a movie like that should also appeal to the Americans who might wonder about whose guys biopic this is. For that reason I believe that there will be quite some place for the mental health/drugs/ Better Man story

I think that he has achieved far less than he hoped. Number one fine, gold fine. But little to none promo in other countries Take That had been huge once. Neither they chart nor him. This is sad. Gold status is how many examples sold? 125K? I am not sure if he has chosen the right songs. If it would have been ballads he might have sold more. But at least he tries something and that is always good to see.

Indeed, I read yesterday about some of the bands from the seventies, The Sweet, T-rex as I had seen some old shows from that time and wanted to check if they are still alive. What alcohol and drugs did and do to people. Rob may have ended like these guys with his depression in addition. He seems healthy and relaxed now and at the place he wants to be.

I am wondering if the non-Robbie fans with think 'what the hell? Art?" or if his originals - the huge paintings - would be considered as art also by those who would not buy only because it is Robbie

Fully agree, this is something special of this situation. I am now working remote with my team since almost 10 months. But at least I am home. I could understand that they went there to access USA easier afterwards. However who want to be there now? I would not even dare to think about vacation. But I know that many especially younger people think different. Ayda is very silent on instagram. Maybe they want to avoid another annoyance or they are still not feeling well. I don't see them emerge in the next weeks either way.
