  1. I have not watched the interviews aside of some minutes. No time, despite home office :-) I also did not watch the insta lives. Listened to a bit of his talk with Andy Goldstein. Some bit of the songs. But I was not surprised that he would bring himself into trouble. The German (I think it was main Germany) shitstorm last week however was troubling if you like Rob. Especially as he clarified - I read - in the third part of the interviews that he is in the middle
  2. I know Rob is not stupid, but sometimes I think in cases like this he lives in a bubble and cannot understand the impact on normal people. For a person who is so much dependent on what people think of him and has googled himself in the past regularly he is causing negativity himself. As if this is in his self destructive mind. The best I read was 'he is crazy anyway' . I could live with that. The comments like 'washed up popstar is back in the news for the wrong reasons" are comments I dislike. I stopped reading the articles then. Especially the 'broadsheets' hate him for these comments (in Germany). It was never popular to like Robbie Williams as he is too mainstream. But some of the prominent people who officially did distant themselves. The only good bit I see here is the fact that something linked to his name can still trend on twitter :-(
  3. Feel was a great read and well written. I did not read 'reveal'
  4. well, there was this interview with a former BBC journalists. If you see Rob s Rob and his mind just overthinking things than it is different than assuming that he says this is the truth without a questionmark. he should know that this can bring him in trouble with many people these days. A German superstar really really huge there lost his seat in the German version of x-factor bc of him saying the same. In Rob's case the tweets saying that he is crazy anyway are the nicest. He needs to go back to work. Real work.
  5. Very well said Laura. I feel conflicts about this over information: On the one hand I miss when there are no news, on the other hand I have not watched one podcast and only very few instas rather then reading what he has said. It is not only a time issue. It is also that most of the information is too much for me. Sometimes I think that I should stop to follow the Rob stuff at all. He was the only ever person I called myself a fan for. The last years little of what I so much liked is left. But then I am interested again. I wonder where he will go next and if he ever will get to legend status or to be really relevant again. The taste of the public has so much changed. and I see a lot of criticism in his own online fan base (me included :-) )
  6. Manchester concert, I saw it there during Rock DJ
  7. Guy always comes across as a very modest person. I also like Rob's collaboration in the past with Stephen Duffy who was also shy and modest in my memory. And the Aussie boys. Rob does good choices of partners and I think that vice versa they have components the other is missing
  8. Ayda brought this up in her Podcast I understand and as it is 'funny' tabloids forgot that they have talked about it already
  9. like the Coco song. Still wonder about the 'new album'....
  10. I wonder if his TV plans will be US based (financed).
  11. misunderstood is a very beautiful song
  12. I also like Rob's online presence and that he tries out a lot. I have some problems with anything which is 'only' bantering around. In smaller doses yes. I think you used the right word, Laura 'too loud'. I like Ayda, I like her as she seems to be lovely and not only because of Rob. What turned me off from her was the way she did the videos with a half 'drunken' Gwen. This was not fun. But I could leave and not watch as many had no problem with it. With Gwen being ill this disappeared. I did not necessarily like Pete being around on all tours. Many liked that too. I always wondered about the appeal of the Kardashians. I rarely had felt that much disgust as for this show. A time I thought that was the way Ayda and Rob would turn with the TV project. I was wrong. I assume however that whatever TV project comes up he will have Ayda at his side, and if only as mental help like Pete was on tour. It will be interesting to see which ways Rob will go. When I read that his words to the young girl had been retweeted 750,000 times I think that he can also stick to a bit less 'loud' online appearances.
  13. very thankful for that, Syd
  14. I wonder still what dJing means for him. Howard or Paris style? He needs to push forward with the record if he ever wants to do one, otherwise the 80 and disco revival is over
  15. I wouldn't know either if I would not be half Dutch and the Netherlands is one of the EDM centres :-)
  16. I like that he still thinks about money and despite living well not throwing it out of the window
  17. HAs he been in EDM? And I do not mean the mainstream EDM like David Guetta. Real hardcore EDM?
  18. The blogs, great time. I did a string of communication trainings before Corona with groups of highly educated engineers and technicians. Most of them 35 years younger or 50 plus. One of the ice breakers was 'what music do you like?' The older ones were in Heavy and Black Metal, etc, the younger were like nothing special liking a variety of music. One mentioned he really likes Robbie Williams. There was no laughter or something, not that people must be fans but there was quite an acceptance. What surprised me though was the answer to my question which book they have read last. Long there was nothing (not only with the youngsters). They were scratching with their feet and I thought because being embarrassed. But it was more that they felt embarrassed for me asking this question. "We read reports from time to time, but books?" All in all I did the training to 120 people and this was the reaction of the vast majority. Why do I write this here :-) I think that Ayda and Rob want to target people outside of the 40+ year old fan base and they do not necessarily read blogs. They like podcasts, instagram, snapchat and these filter plays I think are so strange. (I generalize now). I am not sure if this will work out. I think it would if Rob would still be in his imperial phase, but who aside of fans are interested in what he thinks? At least this is what I feel.
  19. well EDM is not disco...did I mention that I loved his work with Avicii? Very underrated in the UK.
  20. I think the same. I could not watch through any of the instas or listen entirely to any of the podcasts. The serious bits are quite interesting. However I would not get the point why I would use my time for the banter or what you call it. Sometimes I think it is the age. I also dislike all these reality shows or formats like Love ISland etc. When the adverts pop up I know this is nothing I ever want to watch. Many people like it though. I am not sure if Ayda fits in any category of what people like to see these days, not the serious and not the trash ones. They want to extend the Podcasts clearly beyond the Robbie fan base. But I don't think this will happen: Rob's fans are not interested/young/hard core enough anymore and for non fans ...who of the target generation is interested in Robbie Williams or less Ayda? He should work on his music and TV format and get a real haircut. Hairdressers are open in LA again (This is my shallow wish). And Ayda may be able to start as a producer or do something she can use her intelligence aside being a mum of 4. I wonder how many helpers the family has and had also during the Corona times :-). But hey ho. Rob likes to still support this and sometimes makes himself ridiculous. I do not have to watch.
  21. these outdoor car concerts are big in Germany. But we speak about 300 cars max.
  22. no idea what that is, have to google later. In may reports you hear that people like to have old school back, because it is part of the good times, maybe this will help
  23. I am not really following this, but what I hear from the news pop ups Lady Gaga's album is doing quite well? If the name is huge enough and promotion not that important to sell records the artists might be ok. What will 'hurt' more is the missing touring and the money coming with this.
  24. I am wondering about the format of the shows they are looking for a broadcaster.
