  1. I have seen quite some positive reviews from South America. But how well does it do in the cinemas? Any ideas?
  2. I like this one very much. Often there is a lot of truth in Rob's inklings and comments to them.
  3. Thank you, Tess. This will be something to keep the eye on.
  4. it seems to do well in the first week of streaming in the USA. Hope it stays like that.
  5. It is amazing what Rob and Jonny have created with Soccer Aid. They can be very proud.
  6. I wonder if Lufthaus will ever return or is dead as side project for Rob
  7. I am still amazed how great this movie is reviewed around so many different countries. Even with the success not mirroring this it is special. I wonder how the revenue is now. Should be around 23 million. Alex, you are the champion in watching the movie I feel. I have seen it one time in the cinema but will buy the DVD.
  8. I am not entirely sure but something popped out on y instagram Robbie timeline as if he is in Asia?
  9. I still think it was planned different and would have been different if the movie had been a success. The new album would have been the 'aftermatch' without further PR then. Now he needs to do PR again for the album and it is too straining for him, plus the general public will be tired of the same questions he is asked and the adapted answers. New album equals at least few new songs. He will not include Lost and he will not include Forbidden Road aside on occasion as they had also not been hits. Personally I also think that they last minute changed the concept of the tour. He has music to come with Rock heavy participants. This would be then unlikely a feather boa concert. I also think that the movie being unsuccessful has more impact on him and his career and his financiers then we might think. There are some facts which cannot be disregarded: USA does not want to be open to his music and with the climate there in the moment they will not be open in a forseeable future Youngsters who had no mums as fans do not know him rather than a memory and Angels And looking at the Bob Dylan movie and its success it also shows that he is not a legend enough for a movie carrying his story outside of his main lands. If the movie would have been accepted different when there would not have been the monkey? Well, maybe, but i am sure then what he can see as a success would have been missed: the incredible good reviews. I am a bit struggling to see his future promising aside on what he always did. This will stay.
  10. i do not know any of the winners
  11. So the huge plans are cancelled to your opinion, Alex? Many of us have thought he would invest in USA and maybe he would if the movie would have been successful. For South America I am wondering that he still seems to be famous there after he has not toured there since 2006? They seem to be even more faithful than Germany. It might be a financial strategy, but if I see that TT really went to places they had not been a long time, I wonder why Rob is not doing this. What about the album? If it will be out only end of the year then the tour will have the old songs again? Then I read this morning that there are some requests of football clubs to boycott the club WM in the USA which would mean that once again he is in bad luck (despite I don't think the boycott will happen) What about Dubai, hopeium? In the moment I have the feeling he had given up again on the huge attempts and is back to the standard Rob whichis for me sometimes not serious enough (I mean the music and career topics not his struggles).
  12. There are quite many posts on twitter from Spanish and Portugese speaking people. I wonder how BM is doing/ will do in South America. It would have been great if he would have been there in person one time.
  13. There is a video of her from the beginning of her career in a car with a friend and they sang Rock DJ loud. A woman with taste.
  14. He seems to post from Switzerland so I assume he and Ayda will not be at the Oscars :-(
  15. not the right topic, but the Forum is online again. Happy to see you all in here as this is a nice Robbie place to be
  16. do we have any idea how Better Man movie is doing in South America or on pre-orders for the DVD?
  17. will we be able to get data about the streaming, DVD sales etc? Are there any new data about movie sales? I assume that it will now be about 22 million so would it be possible to make 80 million with streaming?
  18. I entirely support what you say, Alex. Rob himself always took breaks if he had not to promote stuff as he said by himself. When he was in his imperial phase this was even a good way to make you rare so that you are not overexposed. But things changed: He is not in his imperial phase anymore since 15 years. He has little new music out and what he did in between and was really good like the Avicii song or the song with the Struts was not promoted good enough. Plus, since social media took over you need to be present. We thought he was with his instgram stories etcetera. But it had been fans watching this, not the general public. You see in any sales of concert tickets that they sell out at the end but while the fans buy cards it takes far more time to sell out with the general public. The Better Man movie promo was the first good and very intense promo for years. If there could have been better strategic moves is another question. What they have forgotten though is that aside of the fans who grew old with Rob little had been done to create bonds with general people, do posts, do stories like you mentioned in our post. Even for huge stars of the moment they need to do a lot of extra work to stay prominent. They have messed through years by not doing anything. I am very sorry for Michael Gracey as he had done an excelent job and while Rob might have a long term profit from this movie, Gracey might have difficulties for the next movie to get fianced.
  19. I love Misunderstood, I love Heaven from here. I still love his work with Stephan Duffy/Intensive Care, maybe because it was the time I became a fan and I remember that every old video I saw on youtube was like a revelation of something great.
  20. As disappointing the review is as much I see the point. Having Rob played by a good looking young actor even if not similar looking to Rob would have drawn more people in, despite the critical acclamation would have been less impressive. I also think that the calculation was that Michael Gracey's name and the songs would be good enough to start an avalanche. The only positive point I see in the moment that despite calling it a flop no one takes away that the movie is a good one. If the fact that Rob is known now more in the USA for all the wrong reasons is at the end supporting his next endeavors, I am not sure.
  21. I also want to thank anyone who posted the last weeks. Sometimes in here it is more busy than on the Rob facebook pages. This is by the way also what I like here that I feel it is a bit of good discussions like in forum times. Thank you.
  22. Until now the press has not bathed into the failure as much as they normally would because I guess the reviews have been overwhelmingly good. Different to Rudebox times they also seem to like Robbie more :-) Any new figures about BM?
  23. What is the total amount right now? !2 million?
  24. Maybe there is still hope that there will be an increase of audience figures
