  1. yes, i saw that yesterday and I am still hoping that there will be a push with some famous Talk Show with Rob as guest. I have me doubts though that the USA is getting Rob. It is silent around team Rob in the moment.
  2. Alex, one more question. Is BM already out in the cinema in Russia or was this only one of the pre-shows? And was it translated?
  3. Happy that you saw the movie already, Alex. Could you see the reaction of other viewers?
  4. This is my concern either, Laura. I watched many trailer now and despite the monkey is very natural and Rob's eyes are the monkey's eyes I would have preferred a real face even if it would not look like Rob. The reviews for the movie are in general very good, the promotion intense, but now it is the general public who will have to buy it. If this movie is no success I don't want to be in Rob's head.
  5. Alex, will you watch the movie at its premiere in Russia?
  6. maybe he has not given the Times an interview. Does anyone has an idea how tickets for movie and tour sell?
  7. Thank you, Alex. This sounds all so good, now we need the fingers crossed that it will show at the box office.
  8. The sales figures outside the UK would be interesting. I assume that in Rest of Europe, Latam and Australia Rob's sales are significant.
  9. I am trying to watch televisions promotions only after I read how it went down in the press which is usually not nice and often not nice to mainstream artists. I have seen nothing but positive revues in the German press and started with Rob's speech for Toni Kroos who has his own bit of irony to carry through years in his home country and always had been a huge Rob fan. This brought him extra unfriendly tweets either before he was greeted back in grace in Germany. I loved the speech, i loved the genuine way both acted with each other. Then today I watched the Better Man clip, a song I always liked. With the usual Bambi audience in the hall being often very snobbish the reaction to Rob I see and heard was great. I think the genuity of him pays off late, but pays off aside that Geany always ad been friendly with him. I think he delivered Better Man well. I am not concerned of the Americans. If they will adopt the movie this is their first real approach to Rob and his back catalogue. Seeing the performances of many of their superstars with lip sync, choir taking the high notes and whatever is possible out there I do not worry. It is more if they will get the movie or not. Here I am still not sure about even outside of America. I trust in the promotion knowledge of Paramount as I am almost sure the fact that Rob won his 3rd Bambi this year is no coincidnce.
  10. he is realistic, this is how many people I know think about him, the one who made music and well, there was no real new music since..2016?
  11. I still love Intensive Care. It was the album which made me discover Rob's music ad the human behind it interested me. Love Ghosts especially.
  12. Thank you for mentioning him, Tess. I liked him as actor, as singer and also as member of the Highway men. Something strange happened to me: I woke up tonight while thinking of the line 'freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose' from the song 'Me and Bobby McGee' made famous I think by Janis Joplin. Then I heard in the news this morning that Kris Kristoffersen who wrote the song had died. I felt stange the entire day. How huge is the likelihood of this being a coincidence and though it has to be.
  13. No offense in my post against anybody, Katheryn. It is statistics which proof stereotypes right and obviously there is nothing wrong with it and there are exceptions. As for Better Man I so wish for Rob that this movie is successful with critics (which I can assume) as well as with the public. I think that the movie successful in cinemas these days need to make a huge diverse majority of people feel comfortable. What I read until now I believe it is too controversial for that. I hope that I am entirely wrong.
  14. I never get any sense in the marketing of what Robbie does since years. This is a big budget film, which I think they are not showing on festivals in Europe yet as this may take the tension away. Plus, if the press will be not comfortable with it the movie can bomb like Rudebox not because it is bad but because of the critics. I am not a fan of a monkey in movies. This might be great art, but only the thought about it would stop me to be not biased in the first place. As the Guardian gave it a good review i assume it will not be a fan favorite. People like less dark movies these days as life is often dark and Robbie was and has the hugest success as people pleaser. Honest to say, I can see it being more successful in the US as with his usual fans. I read something interesting about his cruise ship ambassador ship which fits to this (And I personally dislike a cruise ship partnership a lot especially seeing Robbie performing there which he will sure will do. The swimming Las Vegas) The had made questionnaire about the stars people want to see and while there where the home grown stars the most mentioned international star was Robbie. Who are the clients of these type of expensive cruise ship, or more expensive to correct me: 40 -70 year old well situated average thinking people with quite a superficial level of seeing things. This sounds harsh but it is not my statistic. These people will not watch a complicated Robbie movie like Better Man seems to be.
  15. this is more than they often give to his music. I am so curious how this movie will do
  16. I often do not even read the stories anymore. They are good in some ways, but we are in general interested in new music. ould not make any sense during the Olympics and summer months I guess. It will be first the movie and then the album. He cannot promote both at the same time and the movie's promotion will start in September
  17. What do you think the pre promotion of the biopic will start? Do you think the album will be out before or afterwards which would mean 2025? Any magic glass ball ideas?
  18. I think he is simply bored. Honest, I would also appreciate some music and news about the album. It was ready for 2022, 2023, 2024 is already in the 5th month and I know that it is all planned because of the movie. Today I thought if it is worth that you ink a contract where the big movie companies will promote your film. On the other hand you starve with the real job. If they decide 2024 it will be December 2025 then we will wait another year and if they don't get the movie out at all we will not get a proper album? I don't hope so. As much as I like the inklings, some are very good, many comments I have stopped reading, bad me.
  19. oh and I think it is great that they do play new songs as most artists would take it save
  20. There are not so many countries TT are touring the last album made a huge impact aside Germany I think. Also the last albums and solo efforts had been average or none charting. So I think they tor to tour the legacy. It will be interesting to see if they will have many new tracks outside the UK. There the album sold very well. All news I hear of TT in the Netherlands and Germany is referring to the 90ties success, not even to Their comeback album 2006 which charted well in many countries or Progress which also charted well. I also see that they are touring quite smaller venues outside the UK then in the past. Has someone an overview to how many people they would have played status now at the end of the tour if all venues would be sold out?
  21. © Provided by SA People British musician Robbie Williams will be returning to South Africa in early 2025 for Calabash South Africa. However, confirmation of the news on Monday left a number of fans upset. Organisers of the music festival confirmed at the same time that Calabash South Africa would now be taking place over two days in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. That represents a change from this year’s event which was a one-night affair in both cities. Williams will headline what is now Night 1 in both Johannesburg (18 January 2025) and Cape Town (22 January 2025). The remainder of the acts on Night 1 will be announced in due course. As previously announced, rock band Green Day will headline what is now Night 2 on 19 January 2025 in Johannesburg and 23 January 2025 in Cape Town. Additional acts for Night 2 include The Offspring and Fokofpolisiekar. Fans who rushed out last month to buy tickets for what they assumed was to be the only night in both Johannesburg or Cape Town, will now have to purchase a second ticket if they wish to watch Robbie Williams perform live. Ticket prices for the popular event run into thousands of rands. Tickets for Night 1 will go on sale on Friday, 12 April on the Ticketmaster website. Tickets for Night 2 are already available for purchase. https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/robbie...025/ar-BB1lhgrD maybe there ill be South America 2025 at the end, too?
