Bowie. Went to be Sunday night thinking that he would never make another record again and with 24 hours he was no. 1 on iTunes with a brand new song.

You have Kelly Rowland (X Factor judge) in your chart plus the heavily featured Jar of Hearts.
  3. Holiday - Madonna It's A Sin - Pet Shop Boys Ashes to Ashes - Bowie

I wonder if the BBC still see Leona as an ITV/Simon Cowell product and therefore competition.

The Saturdays one brings a whole new meaning to generic.

She's taking far to long to release new music. This will be her undoing.
  7. Scouting For Girls seem to batter the title of the song into every single they make.
  8. I know! How dare preople try and predict who will flop or fly on a thread called 'Who Do You Think Will Flop Or Fly'.

It was only released in the US as a single, where it got to no. 24. Those Alanis singles all came from a mahoosive selling album and were 'radio hits'. Similarly the Eagles' Hotel California only got to no. 8 in the UK but the album of the same name was huge.

Look at any of the big sellers from 60s/70s - they're not great pieces of work either. Apart from the Beatles domination - Kenn Dodd, Englebert Humperdink, etc. The 70s - Mull of Kintire, John Travolta/Olivia Newton John, Village People ... The 1980s was better - Frankie, Human League, Wham! Culture Club, etc.

A lot of successful pop acts say they're interested in working with Cher - Will.I.Am, NDubs, etc. So she will have a good short at a huge pop career next year - she could do the best of all this year's acts. Rebecca will release a loungey, chilled album but I can't see her having longievity One Direction will be a whitebread pop version of JLS Matt will be a singer/songwriter like James Blunt Mary will be forgotten

A good idea would be this - if you've bought a standard issue album and they bring out a Deluxe - you could return it (with a receipt of purchase) and be upgraded to the newer edition. Everyone happy.

I think he'll do the same as Peter Andre. He seems to have about the same type of fanbase.
  14. I don't think the Sugababes can survive because the media have been so against them since the new line up was announced. They have become a bit of a joke with the swing-door policy line-up changes and no decent hits as a reply to their critics - in fact they've played into their hands really. I think, even if they were to come up with a decent pop single, they're wasting their time. Call it a day ...
  15. Has The One And Only reality/talent show interested enough for any new download entries? Dusty, Lionel, Sinatra, Cher, etc...?
  16. Not heard it yet. The YouTube clip has been taken down again. Hopefully this will sound like a Madonna record and not a Timberlake/Timeberland one....
  17. I like both, but Madonna's version is a classic. So the act I'm send home is .... Oh this is so hard... "Gonna have to hurry you" *bites lip* Leona, sorry.
  18. Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield and Dionne Warwick never appeare nude either and it never harmed their career, so Leona need not show her lady garden to all and sundry. There's something wholesome and totally credible about Leona Lewis. She'll be a star forever.
  19. I think it was more a case of Mick Hucknell wanting to draw a line in order to move on. Dropping the name ends the brand really. However, telling the press the 'band' is splitting is easier to explain. Plus the direction he wants to move in might be more of a personal journey and perhaps wants to attach his name only to it.
  20.
  21. Nancy Sinatra (who clearly inspired Madonna) Cyndi Lauper (who was one of Madonna's earliest contemporaries) Gloria Estenfan (as above, and a friend of Madonna's I believe) Prince again Pet Shop Boys Kylie (which seems inevitable) P!nk George Michael (mutul admiration society) Chrissie Hynde (see Nancy Sinatra) Debbie Harry (see Nancy Sinatra) Elton John (I might be joking here.... )
  22. As it's not a cover of a Motown song they won't care....
  23. My crystal ball tells me ..... no. 4.
  24. Leona Lewis! I want to see what she can do...
