  1. Just noticed, 2006-2020 here.
  2. Morecambe could end up in the third tier if they get through the play-offs. They have a manager who has done it before (Derek Adams). Was hoping for a Carlisle win so we could end on a bang, not to be. Hope they warm up their shooting boots for next season, a lack of goals is not what I want to see.
  3. Just glad Wycombe didn't finish bottom of the table. Ainsworth mentioned that as a challenge for his team. Sheffield Wednesday have gone. Part of me hoped for a Steel City derby next season. Norwich are the yo-yo team between here and the Premier League, Rotherham seem to be the team between here and League One.
  4. Another rearranged fixture to be placed for the 13th May. Fixtures (All kick off times are BST): Friday 7th May Leicester City 3-1 Newcastle United (20:00) Saturday 8th May Leeds United 1-3 Tottenham Hotspur (12:30) Sheffield United 1-3 Crystal Palace (15:00) Manchester City 1-1 Chelsea (17:30) Liverpool 2-1 Southampton (20:15) Sunday 9th May Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-1 Brighton & Hove Albion (12:00) Aston Villa 1-3 Manchester United (14:05) West Ham United 2-2 Everton (16:30) Arsenal 2-1 West Bromwich Albion (19:00) Monday 10th May Fulham 1-0 Burnley (20:00) Tuesday 11th May Manchester United 2-2 Leicester City (18:00) Southampton 2-1 Crystal Palace (20:00) Wednesday 12th May Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal (20:15) Thursday 13th May Aston Villa 1-3 Everton (20:00) Manchester United 1-1 Liverpool (16:30) Reason for edit: - Edited to reflect the change in the fixture list, cheers.
  5. The Manchester United v Liverpool game has been squeezed in. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57000718
  6. Southend were the last team I saw Carlisle play in a match some years ago and I had a few trips down there with my late dad. Carlisle are definitely out of the running for promotion play-offs after the results yesterday. Bring on next season.
  7. I remember him as Carlisle boss. It was over 20 years ago and he oversaw our "Great Escape". Sorry, had to bring that in. He also oversaw Leicester's promotion from this division.
  8. And Cheltenham have gone in the opposite direction. They have been a very strong side at this level recently. I remember a few seasons ago when they were (along with Morecambe, another surprise package) dicing with relegation. As for Carlisle, think we will need a goal difference swing as well as results to go our way to get into the play-offs. That COVID break earlier this year broke our momentum sadly. More positive news, a few players have had contract extensions activated recently.
